Relax at this Private, Peaceful, Dog-Friendly Ecohouse in the Woods.

Lots of privacy and a convenient location make this nice quiet place in the woods a great place to relax. Entertain indoors with a 75" entertainment system, a well-equipped kitchen, and sit-down dining for 15 guests. Outside wander around the 9-acre wood lot with lighted walking trails and lots of wildlife.

In the winter, we have a lighted sledding hill for you to enjoy! We welcome pets and you'll find a dog bed, bowls, treats, and toys for their use.

There are three large parks and two rivers within a mile of the property. Nearby connections to hiking, bicycle, and water hiking trails include the North Country Trail, Lowell Area Trailway, Flat River Water Trail, Grand River Water Trail, Fred Meijer River Valley Trail, Michigan State Snowmobile Trails and more!

This in now our go to when we are in the area. We love the location, the quiet, the trails, the nearby park. It is just a relaxing place to chill and reflect. Structure is older but clean and well maintained. Hospitality “extras” are many.

We were looking for a quiet woodland retreat and found this place to be exactly that. The 3-season porch was wonderful. The furniture was comfortable. A wide variety of woodland birds and chipmunks came to the feeders close to the windows. The chipmunks were especially entertaining. A big thank you to the host for coming to refill the feeders. The addition of a large ground feeder soon attracted squirrels. The electric fireplace took off the chill, and we had fun changing the color of the flames. There is a huge tv screen in the living room, but we never even turned it on. As the cook, I appreciated the variety of condiments in the refrigerator and the spices and dry beans, macaroni and other supplies in the cupboard. I always hate to buy all those things and then throw away the unused portion. My daughter is in recovery from back surgery and especially appreciated the comfortable bed and large window view of the woods from the bed. Accessibility was also helpful with only one step up for entry and easy to navigate inside. My brother and his wife came to visit, and we enjoyed showing off "our" place in the woods and the awesome walking trail bridge over the Grand River. We stayed for a full week, but the end came all too soon.

We enjoy the change of seasons and being in the river valley with wildlife, fertile soil, and lots of fresh water.
