About this property

Remodeled/Halfway Between Durango & Silverton/Heated Pool

Completely remodeled, our 1,300 square foot Cascade Village condo (Unit 352) less then 2 miles north of Purgatory Ski Area. Features 3 bedrooms/2 baths, full kitchen, electric fireplace and private deck. The condo is fully furnished and offers all the comforts of home (including washer/dryer, hair dryers, slow cooker and blender). Note the 3rd bedroom with bunk beds is accessed via the master bathroom upstairs.

Bed Configuration:
Master Bedroom - King with Ensuite Bath and TV(Upstairs)
2nd Bedroom - Queen with TV (Main Level)
3rd Bedroom - Single over Single Bunk Beds with TV- Access is via the master bathroom upstairs.

Please note, due to HOA regulations, this unit, and all of the units at Cascade Village, are NOT pet friendly. Also, trailers are not allowed.

As with all properties in the area, the condo does not have AC. Given the day times highs are rarely above 80 while the lows are in the 40s. Open the windows after the sun is behind the mountains and then close them in the morning along with the blinds that face west. This will keep the house plenty cool.

Cascade Village is less than 2 miles north of Purgatory Resort, 26 miles (less than 30 minutes) north of Durango and 25 miles south of Silverton (less than 30 minutes). Free on-site amenities at Cascade Village including an indoor heated pool, sauna, outdoor/indoor hot tubs, pool table, outdoor tennis court, ski rental shop & (with discounts).

Purgatory offers a complimentary ski shuttle to our Cascade rental guests on a set schedule 1-2 times in the AM and PM during the ski season, on a first come first serve basis. Details will be provided in your rental instructions.

All of the Cascade Village units are equipped with reliable Fiber Optic internet service with an average internet speed of up to 50 Mbps and guests can stream their favorite movies and TV shows on their preferred provider (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime) using the smart TVs in the unit. With fast and reliable fiber optic WIFI, guests can stream on multiple devices. Cable TV is not available in any units at Cascade Village.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Beautiful views. Lots of snow. Definitely need 4 x 4 or all wheel drive/chains. Close to ski area. Only recommendation would be an upgrade on the mattress, not very comfortable. Other than that the condo was prefect.

Great Family Ski Getaway

We had a great, comfortable stay at Cascade Village for our family Spring Break. The condo is fairly well-stocked (could have used a few extra towels for use at the pool/hot tub and pillowcases for the extra pillows, but we did not see the need to call about those during our stay), but no complaints otherwise. I recall the listing accurately describing that the loft is accessed through the master bath adjacent to the upstairs master bedroom, but also note the master bedroom does not have a door; it’s just around the corner at the top of the stairs. Very comfortable and super convenient, though. The main lodge (which is super close to the condo) has great common areas, a fun game room, and pool at hot tubs are great! Would definitely stay again.

Nice, quiet place, but no AC

Normally no AC wouldn’t be a problem, but it’s hot in Durango this time of year! Closing all windows/curtains kept it cooler while we were gone all day hiking/biking, but that sun needs to go down before you can open back up! COVID kept pool, hot tub and fitness center closed (things we had planned on using and why we chose the place). Well-stocked, easy to get in and out of (must hip-check door to get in). We didn’t mind the 25 min drive into Durango. Easy to head north to Silverton and Ouray for hikes and visits.

2025 vacation

We were a party of 7 staying 9 nights. Cascade village is an amazing establishment. It is so close to hiking and outdoor activities but also close enough to Durango. The condo was the perfect size for us. We would be out all day and come back to prepare dinner and hang out in the evenings. My only complaint was the condo was not as clean as it could have been. It was VERY dusty. And I'm not sure if the bathrooms were cleaned properly before our arrival (used bars of soap were left in the showers and trash as well). I had to take time as soon as we got in to clean and make sure everything was clean to use. The dishes were dirty in the cupboards and I had to wash those as well.

Durango has always been one of our favorite vacation destinations. So it was a special time to return and share our memories with our grandchildren. The unit was very clean and roomy for all of us. I truly appreciated the child safety gates that kept the 2 year old away from the stairs. Great place to stay.

Grocery shopping was limited to Durango except for smaller and pricey shops. We knew this coming in and stocked up on the way.

The property was as advertised. Easy access. Excellent location. Beautifully decorated. Clean. There are steps involved. All seemed to be in great shape with only exceptions being the kitchen sink faucet is loose and could be a possible future leak if not installed properly. Light switch in bunk room needs attention. Left door in downstairs closet slips off track. Still, overall, I recommend and would book again
