About this property

A nicely appointed 1 Bdrm apartment with fully stocked kitchen on a quiet 54 acre farm. If you are traveling with your horses, we just added a 50x130 paddock, just for you. This apartment has a private entrance, expansive views of the fields, deer, Long Horn steers and horses next door, and whatever other critters may show up! Feel free to relax on the homes oversized front porch and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Just 6 miles from horse country in Windsor and 18 miles from the Steeplechase in Aiken. 38 Miles from both the Augusta National Golf Course (home of the Masters tournament) and Augusta Regional Airport,, and 46.6 miles from Ft Eisenhower (formally Ft Gordon).
Amenities:
Bedroom has blackout curtains to block out those early morning rays, a bedside light with alarm clock and wireless charging station, 6 drawer dresser, ceiling fan/light combo, and closet with hangers.
Bathroom has removable shower head, shampoo/conditioner/body-wash dispenser/ magnified mirror, hair-dryer, and in case you forget to pack it a individually wrapped toothbrush and travel tooth paste.
Kitchen has Fridge with Ice and water dispenser, microwave, glass-top oven/stove combo, 2 coffee makers (k-cup or full pot), toaster, plates, bowls, coffee cups, wine glasses, baking dishes, pots and pans, basic spices and oils. The peninsula is a perfect place for grabbing a quick bite and has two stools. We also provide fresh eggs from our chickens for your stay (when the girls are laying).
Living room has a large flat screen smart TV (connected to wi-fi), couch that will open to a queen size bed (approx), coffee table, end table, dining table with 2 chairs, small lamp and ceiling fan/light combo.
Laundry room has stacking washer dryer combo with laundry soap and fabric softener sheets provided, and ironing board w/iron.

Absolutely worth it!!

Up front we were extremely pleased and happy with everything. The apartment was advertised true and we knew what we were getting. Very clean and comfortable. I have already recommended it to friends and family.

Lovely apartment ideally only 10 mins from Windsor Trace

A friend and I stayed at Dawns property for a recent Carriage Driving Clinic at Windsor Trace. The Almost There Retreat was a perfect spot for us. The location is very serene located off a quiet backroad on a generous property. The apartment itself is clean, bright and spacious. You can tell a lot of love and care went into building the space. We were welcomed with snacks and some farm fresh eggs. The apartment is stocked with basic spices, ample cooking utensils and appliances. Despite this being an apartment above Dawns garage, there is a separate entrance and you definitely don’t feel like you’re imposing or sharing space. If you plan to bring a horse in your trip, Dawn recently put in a brand new paddock. We had a chance to chat and she is adding a shelter/run-in next so your horse would be nice and comfortable. There is plenty of parking and room to turn around a trailer if needed. We loved our stay and plan to return. Thanks again Dawn!
