About this property

Cozy home in downtown Toronto, perfect for a sabbatical stay

Spacious and cosy, fully furnished, detached 3 storey house in a great multi-cultural neighbourhood, St. Clair West and Oakwood. The house is spead over 3 floors. The main floor includes the living room with gas fireplace (super cosy in winter), formal wooden panelled dining room great for entertaining, large sunny eat-in kitchen and access to the private backyard. We love to cook, so the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking and baking supplies. The deck has a dining table, loungers, and a BBQ. Upstairs are two bedrooms (one can be used as a study) and a full bathroom, including rain shower and bathtub. The renovated basement has a large living area (can be converted to a bedroom), full bathroom and boiler room that houses the washer and dryer. Hardwood floors throughout. Front and back gardens. Private back yard fenced in with deck. Streetcar stop at bottom of road, less than one minute walk away, and subway (St. Clair West) 10-15 minutes walk away. Parking bay for one car. This is a lovely, inviting home in a great neigbourhood, with easy walking and biking, quick access to public transit, and parking available. It’s a great place to live!

Close to shops, cafes, parks, churches, schools, daycares, libraries and other daily amenities, including the Wychwood Barns farmer’s market (every Saturday) and winter skating. Everything you need is on St. Clair West (PO, dentists, doctors, pharmacies, butchers, fishmongers, supermarkets), as well as Italian, Indian, Thai, Latin American, Caribbean and Asian shopping, and wonderful bakeries, cafes and restaurants. Twenty minutes south to University of Toronto and Metropolitan University of Toronto; 30 minutes north to York University by subway.

We are looking for someone who will appreciate the love that went into house and will take good care of it. it would suit a non-smoking loving couple or small young family with (or without!) a teenager who would like their own basement space.
All utilities included: gas electricity and water. Dates are somewhat flexible - we would be happy to answer enquiries.
