From the instant you walk into this home you will feel the warmth and comfort of the beautiful decorated and roomy space. The home backs up to a tree lined creek that is both tranquil and private.

The space offers 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathroom, a full kitchen with all the supplies needed to whip up a meal, dining room, two living rooms & a game room. Sip your morning coffee in the adorable sitting nook next to the kitchen. The 4th bedroom and bathroom are located in a detached casita.

Some issues was 1 split unit was blowing hot air (thank goodness it was a hallway) , could not figure out water temperature in back room. light of ceiling fan in one room would not turn off. Two fire alarm had low battery and beeping the whole weekend.However location was great, clean and amenities were all good.

This place was amazing! Very convenient walk to Main Street. Accommodations were top shelf. The only hiccup has been with VRBO customer relations, not the host. We would stay here 100% again. However, considering the customer service of VRBO, customer billing needs an overhaul. Other than VRBO service, this house and the host were amazing. Thank you for letting us stay there.

Hi there, we are Brannon and Justina, the recent (Fall 2022) new owners of the Shepherd Haus! We reside in Austin, TX and love having a vacation property in Fredericksburg that we can share with others to enjoy as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We have loved traveling to Fredericksburg over the years and had been interested in owning a property near the Main Street area for quite a while. When The Shepherd Haus became available, we knew it was the perfect fit. The location is unmatched, easily walkable to restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and boutiques. The home also backs up to a wooded creek for ample privacy.
