Girls weekend away in New Orleans

Our stay was good! The city of New Orleans was fun and we were all over the city! 2 of the main perks to renting this house was 4 beds and of course the location. I messaged the owner the 1st night about not having bedding for the fold out couch, we stayed 4 nights and they never responded. Also, we were really looking forward to using the patio for morning coffee and evening drinks, it was not use able. Cushions were moldy and bug infested!! So disappointing!! There is plenty of room for storage if they got new cushions and took them in when not using. They were accommodating when we ask to stay a little later because they was a major rain storm our last day and didn’t have anywhere to go until our flight. The house is beautiful and has lots of character and nice furniture and decor.

One set of keys.....

Made it a little bit difficult for us to do our own thing. This wasn't mentioned in the description, so be alerted to make plans as 1 group and dont split up. The location was good, and as most of New Orleans is flat, the walk was not terrible. The house was charming. It was very drafty downstairs. The house has thing walls, so beware (earplugs were provided.) The was a little bit lacking in the housekeeping department. It was tidy. There was a dishwasher, but no soap was provided. Overall, the stay was pleasant.

New Orleans Birthday

We stayed and celebrated a St Patty’s day birthday. French Quarter location was perfect. Walking distance to most things we wanted to see. Street parking was a little hectic due to the crowds, but we were able to move closer to the property later in the evening. Highly recommend.

Good stay, some issues

We stayed 4 nights, 4 adult women on a ladies trip. The listing doesn’t mention that the unit is attached to two other units, one beside and one above. The unit above is a full time rental, and we unfortunately had the privilege of staying while new tenants were moving in. They began their moving at 10:30 pm on the first two nights. Stomping up and down the stairs, dropping heavy boxes, moving furniture, playing music and singing/talking/shouting… all above the downstairs bedroom. This went on until well after midnight the first two nights. I contacted the manager about it the morning after the first night, but nothing was done until the day of the third night. They finally quieted down but the walls are thin and normal voices can still be heard. Cleanliness- I gave a 4 because when we arrived there was coffee spilled down the front of a kitchen cabinet, the one kitchen towel provided was dirty, the rug under the coffee table was dirty, no sheets were available for the sofa bed, and we had a total of 6 bath towels and no bathroom hand towels for 4 adults for 4 nights. The courtyard was filthy so we couldn’t use it, the table and chairs were covered in leaves and the cushions on the chairs are moldy. There are many nice hotels in the French quarter, I’d honestly stay in one of them if I visit again.
