Great Stay and Host!

My partner and I were visiting New Orleans for the first time this past week. Ron's VRBO was perfect and felt very personalized and curated in the best way possible. When we got there, Ron gave us his recommendations and areas that he recommends. Along with this, we were given a history of the house, which was honestly really interesting. Also, they legitimately have the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. It's ruined my bed at home forever. I can't recommend this place enough!

My brother and I loved our stay here! This place is a rare gem of unique New Orleans flare and local color. (Completely *opposite* of many bland, neutral corporate cookie-cutter rentals available now.) Fun colors and impressive Mardi Gras regalia decorate the dining room and kitchen areas. Huge bed in center room is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Pull-out sofa bed in living room is also very comfortable. The iconic shotgun layout suited us just fine. There are big sliding pocket doors between the two sleeping areas. There is a full kitchen, a cute bathroom with walk-in shower, a lovely round dining table that seats 4, even a stackable washer & dryer. The outdoor space in back off the kitchen is a burst of tropical colors and plants-- with seating and a very nice hot tub. Furnishings in the home include carefully curated antiques, fine bed linens, modern lamps, and tasteful art. Location was perfect. We found free street parking right in front of the house. The owners live right next door, and Ron was a delight to work with. Highly recommend, and we hope to be back!

Quaint and Quirky

Lovely hosts for a lovely property in a quiet neighborhood close to all the action but not the noise. Accurate photos, clean, and comfortable bed. Even the couch and armchairs were comfy. The most cooking we did was make coffee to enjoy the cute courtyard, but the kitchen was fully stocked. 😊 Would be happy to stay again.

Staying in History

What an awesome place to stay. Upon checking in Ron met with us and gave us a tour of the property and gave us the history of the home. It’s pretty cool getting to stay in a home that is over 200 years old. The home is kept very clean. It was the perfect place to stay for our anniversary. We walked just about everywhere we went so staying here puts you close by everything. When we come back to New Orleans we will check availability here first. Thanks for being amazing host.

Ideal Location and Lovely Space

We had a wonderful stay with Ron and Mark. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our visit. The house is very nice and decorated in such a way that you know you are on a visit in New Orleans - much better than some cookie cutter hotel. The location is also perfect, lovely neighborhood and a very short walk to everything in the French Quarter. We are already planning our next girls’ trip to stay here next year!

History and Comfort and Wonderful People

It was lovely experience all around. We learned a great deal about the history of the house and the city from Ron. They also provided a map of the city and recommendations for safest routes, restaurants and live music. The place was wonderful, comfortable and just plain nifty. This will be the place to stay when we come back to the city.

Ron and Mark were wonderful hosts. They greeted us when we arrived. They also spent time telling us the history of their home, as well as suggestions on what to see/where to eat. We would stay here again the next time we go to NOLA....and we are already thinking about that.

First trip to NOLA

I wasn’t sure what to expect, never having visited New Orleans before. My stay couldn’t have been better! Ron and Mark are very personable hosts. Very helpful with suggestions about dining and directions. I attended every Mardi Gras parade possible, all within walking distance of the unit. Shopping was great and food choices excellent. New Orleans 2024.

Short drive from the Airport around 20,Minutes. Ron the owner of the apartment kindly had reserved a parking space for our car. Apartment was very well presented and spacious for our needs. Ron was very helpful in recommending local Restaurants and places to go and see. Apartment has all the amenities that you would need & a nice Hot Tub should you wish for a Dip. Overall very good and if in New Orleans would stay again.

Couldn’t have been more perfect

From the moment we booked this unit, we knew it was going to be perfect. Ron and Mark were absolutely wonderful hosts who did everything they could to make us feel at home. The unit itself is filled with character and wonderful touches of New Orleans scattered throughout. The location was perfect for our weekend here for Jazzfest. We loved hanging out in the garden at the end of our days, and the Jacuzzi was absolutely amazing! If you make a decision to stay here, you will certainly not regret it!

Delightful Stay!

Ron was a fabulous host; greeted us upon arrival with impeccable Southern hospitality. This gem of a home is beautifully appointed and well furnished without being fussy. Kitchen had all the basics. Hottub and very private oasis was a luxurious bonus. The neighborhood is perfectly located - close to the action but tucked away in a quiet, safe area. We were able to walk to the grocery store, Frenchman Street and the Quarter easily. We will definitely be back! Thanks Ron and Marc! 💜

Our stay truly reflected the name…

…we felt like NOLA locals! We cannot recommend this property enough. All is beautifully planned and executed, to the finest detail: everything you’d need in a fully functioning home, with exquisite touches like fresh cut flowers and palm leaves scattered throughout. The private courtyard and hot tub were a lovely end to the day. Ron and Mark were fun, welcoming hosts with great recommendations. They clearly love their city, and it shows through their home. We can’t wait to come back, and will be staying here when we do! Thank you, Ron and Mark, for being you, and sharing your home with us!

JUST PERFECT!!!!

We had an absolutely lovely, perfect stay in the Marigny, thanks to the hospitality of our hosts, Ron and Mark. Our side of this beautiful 193-year old home was cozy, impeccably clean, comfortable and quiet. We had everything we needed in the well-appointed kitchen, and the shower had good water pressure, It is on a quiet residential street within easy walking distance to the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street, and grocery and drug stores. The bed was so comfortable, and for the first time after staying in MANY vacation rentals, I didn't even need to use my pillow I had brought from home! There is a beautiful, private back garden and hot tub, and the hosts were so very attentive and responded immediately with any questions we had. I wish there was a way to give unlimited stars! Thanks so much, y'all, for a wonderful visit!!! :)

Caring Hosts, and Perfect Location! Walking distance to many of the popular tourist areas!

My friend and I road-tripped from Ohio to visit Nola for our first time. While searching for possible places to stay, this listing immediately caught our eye. The classic Mardi Gras decor and that amazing back patio space won us over immediately, and I will say that the photos provided do not do it justice!!! This space was so perfect! We loved all the decor and the passion that the hosts put in to create a welcoming space for guests while also adding special touches such as a fresh flower in the bathroom and numerous historical books spread through out the house about all thing New Orleans! Being two women travelers in a new city, it was comforting to read that we would be greeted by the hosts and given a overview of the city, great places to visit, good food suggestions, as well as safety tips. Both hosts were so kind and we really enjoyed chatting with them, learning about their history as well as the home and neighborhood history. We truly appreciate the effort that they put in to creating a home away from home for their guests and the care and dedication they provide to creating a connection as a visitor and to the city itself. Thank you both!! If we ever visit again, we will be back!!!
