Paradise on Andros

We had a wonderful time at Oasis on Andros. The beach is one of the most beautiful beaches we have experienced in the Bahamas. The newly built water swings were a hit also! Lots of water toys available and the house was stocked with amenities. We had an amazing vacation and can't wait to go back!

Wonderful stay and great value in remote paradise

We had a tremendous experience in this beautiful place. Beds for 7 adults, a huge kitchen that was great for making big communal meals, insane location on a private beach. And literally every time we needed something it was there, from ice maker to paddle boards and kayaks to even things like electrical tape. Owners were highly attentive and communicative. Great air conditioning. Everything worked. There was even starlink and a 3 monitor set up up for seamless remote working. Only issues were entirely out of our hosts control: the island experiences some power outages of 1-2 hours in the summer, and the mosquitos and no serums and horseflies are serious. The owner mentioned they might get solar panels in the future that would certainly help deal with the outages. Also you will need a car and if you can get something Lille an SUV it will help because the road to the house is unpaved. Overall we thought this was great value for money and would consider renting here again.

Oasis, indeed!!

This was a perfect vacation for our family. North Andros Oasis delivers the ultimate secluded beach experience in a beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed home with almost every amenity you will need. There are so many beach activities to experience here: paddleboarding, kayaking, shelling, and snorkeling beautiful reefs just steps from the shore. If relaxation is your thing - the deck is huge and has plenty of comfortable seating and shade to relax and read or enjoy a cocktail, or you can sit at the end of the dock and spot turtles and fish in the bay. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked, there is plenty of hot water, and the wifi was strong, supporting 6 people with devices and streaming on the TV. No need to bring much more than swimsuits, water shoes, snorkel gear, and plenty of sunscreen, bug spray, and anti-itch remedies (particularly if bugs love you like they love me). Communication with the hosts was excellent...they are thoughtful, helpful, and responsive. Visting Andros is an adventure and this is an incredible place to experience all this island has to offer. We loved it and would definitely return!

Lovely home in a secluded location. Great water toys!

We had a wonderful time at Andros. The home is very comfortable and well-appointed, with an expansive shaded outdoor deck (still parts of it under construction as of May 2023, but plenty enough completed to be very pleasant). The rooms, bathrooms and kitchen are all very well-appointed with comfortable beds, good linens and plenty of beach and bath towels. There are several paddle boards and kayaks available for use, and the home's private beach is a perfect place to enjoy them! A few things to keep in mind for other travelers: 1. Bring good bugspray! Lots of horseflies around if there is no breeze and they are very persistent if you are not sprayed. 2. The road leading up to the house is not in great condition. Nothing scary or dangerous, but our rental car, which was a bit low to the ground, did suffer some minor damage. We loved our time at Andros and really enjoyed the property. Look forward to returning!

Phil & I have been traveling to the Bahamas for decades and have spent most of our time enjoying the water. We instantly fell in love with Andros because it's low key, pristine beaches and all you have access to like snorkeling, spear fish & lobster, bone fish, and deep sea fish, paddle board, kayak and simple lay of the hammock, touring the island to see the blue holes. This house is only a few steps to the water and in private location. This is our paradise and we wanted to share this experience with you. Andros is the best kept secret.

Why they chose this property

Our property is uniquely located to shallow water for Bone Fishing, 20 miles is the tongue of the ocean for deep sea fishing and two miles away are the Golden Keys which has beautiful reefs to spend the day snorkeling. Blue Holes are all over the island and a must see when you visit. The Joulter Cays are a 20 minute boat ride but have the incredible blue ocean and sand bar you would see in the Exumas. Snorkeling in our bay you will see mana rays, sea turles, numerous fish, starfish and beautiful shells. Our beach is secluded with only a few houses on the bay. This location is only a short flight to Nassau if you wanted to spend a day at the city. The locals are so friendly and one always feels at home. The pristine beaches and "mom and pop" feel of the island is what we love.
