About this property
Peaceful & stylish pool home with gorgeous lake views
Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space, remodeled with a Boho Chic vibe. You’ll notice the artful design, from the decor, to the floor…
So how did the Boho Fish Camp get its name? Bohemian often refers to one who has their own style, is a bit unconventional, and one who may travel from place to place.
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, or other precious metals. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
We wanted to combine the two, taking the Bohemian artful traveler and Kintsugi philosophy which makes beauty out of broken things and bring them to you in what once was a neglected home in a quiet country town in such a beautiful setting. Creating it into an artful home for all to enjoy.
And of course let’s face it the fish camp portion of our name just seems appropriate given it’s sitting on one of the best spring-fed, bass-fishing lakes in Florida!
Our goal will be to not only make it a great place to stay no matter what brings you to town, but we are in the process of collecting some art from nearby artists to showcase as well (this may not be implemented until later in the year).
Our home is located right on the lake (and canal - water on 2 sides!). Bring your boat, your fishing gear or just grab a chair and enjoy the sunrises and watching wildlife from the dock. Its so serene and peaceful. Lake Panasoffkee is a quiet little town away from it all, yet close enough for anything you need. A canoe and kayaks are also available for you to get out on the lake and explore (at your own risk of course).
You'll love the tree-lined streets in the neighborhood, which is completely walkable, or ridable (bring your own bikes, or we have 2 you are welcome to use). It's quiet and serene, and neighbors are friendly :)
Do note that the master bedroom is a 'presidential suite/loft-style room that opens up from the living room, to allow complete interaction, and has floor-to-ceiling curtains to close for privacy. The other 2 bedrooms (one with a twin daybed, and the other with a queen & full bed) are each in private rooms.
We also own the home next door, "Modern Fish Camp" should you need to book more space and want to spread out. Come experience Old Florida here and/or next door at our Modern Fish Camp.
Just to note, our home is set up and stocked for 2 guests, and additional people are always welcome — up to the maximum of 7 guests total. Each extra guest is $20 per person, per day, which helps us cover added utilities, supplies, and the extra time our cleaners spend preparing the home. Since our cleaning fee stays the same no matter how many people are in your group, this keeps things fair and ensures the house is fresh and comfortable for everyone.
To keep things safe and consistent, all guests and visitors need to be included in your reservation. The property is also equipped with exterior security cameras for peace of mind. We kindly ask that there are no unauthorized visitors, large gatherings, or parties during your stay.
Thank you for helping us keep the home enjoyable for all our guests — we want you to relax, have fun, and make the most of your time here!

About the host
Hosted by Valerie Bogle

We are Floridians through and through. Born in Florida and still love it. Although, I think I may have gypsy in my blood as I love to travel and explore new and exciting places...all around the world. Which is what I love about VRBO is that there's this community who either love traveling as well, or at least are willing to host those of us who do! I love it so much, I've also become a host & a travel agent!
I look forward to talking soon!

Why they chose this property
I spent many years of my childhood, coming to this small town of Lake Panasoffkee from Tampa. It's always held a special place in my heart as I remember running through the neighborhoods, fishing in the lake and exploring like kids do. Interestingly enough, it hasn't changed much over the years, which is one thing I LOVE about it here. It's still Old-Florida, has cypress trees, with moss flowing in the breeze coming off the lake. It's rare that you don't see someone on the lake fishing (and catching more than I've ever seen). It's peaceful and relaxing and feels like you're far away, while still being close enough to the things you need; groceries, entertainment, shopping, attractions, etc.
We also own the home next door on the canal, which we also love, and patiently waited until this house was available, and once it was we made it ours! Now we get to share it with others, and still have a place we can come to escape too.

What makes this property unique
What is amazing about this house, is the way it was built, you can be on any side of the house and have a view of water! Then add a spool (spa sized pool), and an AMAZING dock out back, lots of shade trees, and it's no surprise everyone is loving it as much as we do. It's a slice of heaven.
