Hamnett Gallery House - Newly Updated!
Located in the Hamnett historic district in Wilkinsburg, this is a beautiful, spacious home with two full floors available for use. Guests will find accommodations such as a functional kitchen space, washer and dryer, access to free WiFi, and more.
You will love the quaint character of this house. Built in 1906, it has a very eclectic, historical feel and has retained many of its original features and charm. The first floor features a full kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, pots and pans & cooking utensils, and a coffee pourover with stocked coffee and teas. There is a dining room and living area with a projector and sound system that easily connects to a laptop. Guests are welcome to use the medical grade air filtering unit provided. We have provided fresh sheets, towels and basic toiletries. The second floor features a large bedroom, additional guest bedroom and bathroom. You will find original artwork throughout the house to enjoy. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, business trips, or anyone looking for an extended stay.
We ask that guests clear any events or parties with us beforehand, to prevent any damages or problems that could arise. We value communication and are always available for any questions or comments guests may have about the space. We want guests to enjoy our home as much as we do.
Pets are welcome, but please note that we charge an additional fee of $75 for each pet. Please be mindful of cleaning up after your pet and of any excessive hair or messes left. Please inform us ahead of time if you plan on bringing a pet. Note: Please do not use bleach or other concentrated cleaners in the event of spills or messes on rugs. We have a specialist who cleans the rugs and will take care of any stains.
Like any city, we recommend removing all valuables from your vehicle and locking doors.
We are permaculturists, so our gardening style is intended to encourage pollination & rewilding. We love our overgrown flower beds and landscape, and hope you will too! Guest access Access to washer and dryer downstairs throughw the first floor hallway door. The third floor will be locked, but otherwise the place is open. Other things to note Must use stairs
Security camera in living room for security and peace of mind; guests are welcome to cover camera during stay.
No smoking in the house
The house is not equipped with air conditioning; however, there are AC units in both bedrooms and one unit on the first floor
Please keep pets off beds if possible, and use provided doggie bags to clean up after pets!

Such a well maintained house. Superclean and comfortable. Very pet friendly. Quiet neighborhood. Some of the neighboring houses are a little more run down but it didn't detract from the overall experience. Host was very responsive.
