This house is in a nice, convenient area of town and was perfectly clean. The bed was super comfy, and the linens felt nice and new. There is plenty of driveway parking.
The host was easy to communicate with, very responsive, and could not have been more pleasant.
The home is immaculate and has all the comforts of home, without any clutter so you can fully utilize the space. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens top notch. The central air was ice cold which was VERY much appreciated! We would love to stay again!
We were gone a good bit of the day. Front porch was nice. There is a working grill. There are not a lot of utensil/kitchen ware but we were able to make it work.
Good location. Pet friendly. Maybe add some more seating in the great room.

Although I don't routinely write reviews, I do love to write positive reviews. I have never had to write a negative review of a stay at Vrbo. I don't want to completely slam the property because that isn't fair, but there are just plenty of things that if they were fixed, it would be a wonderful property. Not correcting the problems I would say, do not stay at this property. The biggest issue was a lack of privacy. It is a two bedroom cottage, but our bedroom door was so warped our door could not be closed - you could easily see into our bedroom. The most the door would close there was as much as an inch of an opening - not ideal for changing or privacy while in bed. The first night Vrbo had me send a video showing the problem and they merely said I had to deal with the host. The cottage is incredibly sparse with not enough seating. With two bedrooms, the cottage sleeps four, yet there isn't enough seating. The living room has a small sofa that seats two and there is one chair. There are dead bugs (cockroaches). The back seating area has hanging lights that are as low as waist high - to walk under them you have lift the hanging lights over your head. There are a couple of the glass lights that are broken with exposed sharp edges of broken glass. The bathtub was clogged - while taking a shower, the tub would fill with water. All these issues are easily corrected if the host/property manage would take care of it.
We were in Hoover for a youth baseball tournament. The house was clean and well maintained. It was centrally located for all of the baseball venues where we played. It had easy and quick access to the freeway. We would definitely reserve the house for future events. Communicating with the property manager and owner were quick and easy.
I have stayed at this house in the past and gave it an excellent review. I cannot give the same rating for this stay. The kitchen has roaches and I ended up leaving a day early. I saw a lot of baby roaches which was concerning. They weren't the large wood roaches we have in AL; they were the smaller roaches that multiply fast. I notified the host of the problem after leaving but since I have not heard anything I hope the issue is addressed. I was not expecting a refund for an early departure, I just wanted the host to be aware of the problem. I really hate to leave something negative, but I have to be honest. The house is clean but there is definitely an insect problem.

Property was ok
The pictures of the property were not totally accurate. The house is older, and a bit run down. Much of the back patio was covered by overgrown trees, and an exterminator is needed for the kitchen and bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the location was good. With a park and trails within walking distance.
We came for a week long baseball tournament. The road it’s off of was easy to get in & out. The area is nice with some restaurants & a grocery store close by. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen has plenty of cabinet space as well as the laundry room. The kitchen was lacking cooking casserole dishes, cookie sheets, cooking utensils only had a couple & silverware. We always bring paper plates, trash bags, etc but we forgot the plastic eatery & had to wash silverware multiple times a day. The host was very responsive & easy to work with. We will stay here again if in the area.
