Wonderful lakeside getaway
My husband, dog and I really enjoyed our recent stay. We came here last year for a long weekend and liked it so much, we decided to come back again this summer!
The property managers were quite responsive. There was a broken towel rod in one of the bathrooms. I texted to let them know, so they didn’t think we had broken it, and they sent someone out later that day to fix it.
Love that it is dog friendly. My particular dog is terrified of the metal staircase, so keep that in mind. We had to take her to the outside stairway at night and in the morning, otherwise she would have been stuck on one floor the whole time.
We brought our paddle boards with us and the lake is perfect for that. Barely any boat traffic, so no waves to deal with. While out on the lake, look out for the resident bald eagle soaring overhead - beautiful!
If I were to nitpick, I do wish the bathrooms had a shelf or two for toiletries. They are small bathrooms, and that is fine, but with little countertop space, it was hard to manage toiletries with nowhere to put them. Also, it may be getting time for a new couch. Some of the cushions are getting a bit worn out. It is still comfortable, but probably not for too much longer.
All that said, I am looking forward to our next stay at Casa del Lago!
