About this property

Asheville, Smoky Mountains, North Carolina

Looking for a place that you can go to and get away from it all or maybe a place where your family can “reconnect”? Look no further, you have found just the place. Our home is located in Leicester, just a short 20 minute drive to Asheville (and no scary roads). We have a saying, "Close enough to Asheville to enjoy; and far enough away from Asheville to enjoy!

Come enjoy the spectacular views of rolling knolls and picturesque mountains (70 miles view). Enjoy the quiet of the country where wildlife and wildflowers abound. We have turkey, deer, rabbits and an occasional bear show up on our driveway cam.

The home is situated on 6+ acres, has over 3000 square feet of living space and is tastefully decorated. Dogs are allowed with a 2 dog limit. There is a large dog run in the yard plus dog kennels in the garage for when you are not on the premise (if your pet has separation anxiety).

The front porch has two porch swings to enjoy in the morning or the evening, when the fireflies put on their light show. There is a wraparound deck off of the main floor with storybook views to enjoy. There is a large fire pit area also.

The main floor has a large kitchen, perfect for a large get together, a breakfast nook, dining area, living room (wood burning fireplace), and the primary bedroom. There is a covered screened in porch off of the living room and primary bedroom. Did we mention the wonderful views from the over-sized windows?

The master bedroom has a king size bed. The master bathroom has a large tub and a walk-in shower.

The bottom floor has a professional size Brunswick pool table and a game table to relax with family and friends. There is a large cement patio where you can enjoy the rocking chairs and a good book.

The third level has two bedrooms, a bathroom and a loft. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other has twin beds. The loft has a dedicated office space with a scanner and printer available. We also have high speed internet for our travelers that need to work. Each of the upstairs bedrooms have a private deck to enjoy the sunrise or sunset.

This house is at the hub of many area attractions such as: 20 Mins to downtown Asheville, The Biltmore Estate 22mins; Close to Chimney Rock; Grandfather Mountain; Gem Mountain; Dollywood (Pigeon Gorge, Tn); Cherokee Indian Reservation; and Maggie Valley to name a few.

There is something for everyone, or just stay on the porch and recharge your batteries. A gazebo is on the property with wonderful views.
WE DO NOT RENT OUT THE PROPERTY FOR PARTIES OR WEDDINGS.
NO smoking , e-cigarettes' (or vaping) allowed in the house, but there is an ashtray in the gazebo.

We have to allow 36 hours between bookings. Also, please note that Check-In is after 4PM and Check-Out is before 10AM.

Please Note: During Hurricane Helene we had two windows that lost the vapor in the middle of the glass. This resulted in those two windows being cloudy. We apologize for that and keep hearing that we are " on the list" to have those replaced.

Once you walk onto the property you will feel your troubles melting away. It is like being in your own little piece of Heaven. That is why we decided to rent the home to vacationers that really just want to get away from it all and spend time with the family or just alone with your thoughts.

Why they chose this property

We always seemed to find our way to the Carolina Mountains whenever we went on vacation, so when we started looking for a place to go for our 30th anniversary it was no surprise where we headed. We found this beautiful lot and decided to build a place where our family could reconnect and get away from the crazy everyday life.

What makes this property unique

We love going to the house to recharge our batteries. It is a wonderful place to relax.
