About this property
THE ROYER HOUSE - LANCASTER'S HISTORIC DISTRICT
Built in 1888, ‘The Royer House’ is named in honor of the late Joseph R. Royer, confectioner extraordinaire, who owned the Ice Cream Garden at 50 W. King St., and was influential to a young entrepreneur named Milton S. Hershey in helping him hone his skills in the art of candy making. This American classic is situated in the heart of downtown Lancaster and is a short walk to the Lancaster Convention Center, The Fulton Theater and the city's best breweries, dining, shops, and galleries!
This four bedroom, two bathroomhome was recently restored with tasteful touches across an open and bright layout. TheRoyer House hints to a past when things were simpler while highlighting the creature comforts one demands of today's modern spaces. Recessed lighting, hardwood floors, and high quality linens ensure a good night's rest, while Smart TV's and high speed internet provide travelers the peace of mind of staying connected. The home is filled with light throughout and offers enough space for a family of eight to enjoy comfortably, The space is professionally cleaned and cared for, and we work to ensure your experience in staying with us is the absolute very best.
The homeis easily accessed by the right front door. All areas of the home are secure. The entrance and home is private and the laundry room and rear outdoor space is shared with other residents.

Without giving it all away, we love the way of life and communities that make up Lancaster. The city holds an important role in the birthplace of America. The city is experienceing a renaissance and is once again at a crossroads - The American love story between community and those who reside here is still being written, and we invite you to be a part of it through the lens of The Royer Houseon Duke Street.
The neighborhood boasts a walk-score of 98, so for those who love an adventure walk - Lancaster is a foot warriors dream!
In addition, Lancaster has a network of bike paths with mindful motorists and clearly marked bike lanes throughout the city. The city is inter-connected by rivers and parks and side alleys that are sure to leave an impression. For those looking to travel by car, you'lll appreciate the lack of traffic often found in larger metropolitan cities. If you take a car, be mindful of our local horse carriages and buggies often found traveling in our community and back-country roads.
The home is 420/smoker friendly, but in outside areas only, at least ten feet away from windows and doors.
