Mostly positives, but outside seemed neglected.
Anastasia was very responsive and accommodating re. check in and communications. We happened to swing by early just to find the rental, and happened to meet her. She was very nice, she told us of a fun coffee shop, and said she would text us if she had the rental done a little earlier than the 3pm check in time. The house was cleaned and prepared for guests as one would hope for and expect. We LOVED the quiet neighborhood. However, in contrast, the lack of attention to the yard and its care was surprising, and somewhat disappointing. Knee high weeds filling the yard…obviously had been that way for awhile, multiple yard tools laying criss cross on the deck steps, deteriorating newspaper left under the mailbox in the grass. Don't know the city garbage pickup schedule, but the 2 large garbage bins on the outside of the house were completely full. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt…so maybe something happened that these things were not attended to. Even though there were these outdoor/yard situations that could have been better….would we stay there again? Yes.

Home away from home
Great place to stay. We all felt comfortable and had a blast playing board games on the rainy days. I loved the little pieces of your past and the Evil Kenivle motor bike. I had one as a kid. The neighborhood was great! It was very easy to walk to all kinds of shops and parks. I would try to stay here again in the future. Thanks for hosting us.

I'm from California originally, but I grew up near B.C. Canada and moved back to Humboldt County California in 2000. I moved here to Chico after my sister met her husband. After a longer visit one time I left that day just feeling like I couldnt wait to come back. So in 2014 I moved here bought my first home, and settled into the life! I love everything about it. Home town feel with all the amenities you need :)

Why they chose this property

The Barber District is such a unique slice of Chico. So many historic bungalows, well maintained and loved for decades by thier owners. We are close to Sierra Navada Brewery, the Commons tasting room, and Park Side Pub. 19th Street is within walking distance to Downtown Chico as well. You'll love the quiet nights and plesant walks.

What makes this property unique

The Blue Bungalow is very unique in that it has a great size back yard and large porch to sit and talk or have a nice dinner. The property has all new updated flooring, and a full kitchen remodel and bathroom addition so that youll have a nice spacious 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to settle in.
