Grace and Charm in the Heart of Downtown Hartsville: - Walk to Most Everything!
OMG! Floor to ceiling exposed brick walls with light beaming through the Plantation shutters outlining the oversized picture windows. The1925 original floors ooze charm from every plank. Park your car(s) just outside the covered front door, or in the back parking lot, and then walk to most anything you need. Wine bars, restaurants, boutique shopping, Coker College, and of course the bakery (wake up and go get their scones) with fresh goodies await you at every turn. Just steps away is the Vintage Wine and Craft experience ( say hello to my friend Cal, the owner), and less than a two minute walk is the Mantissa hotel's rooftop bar with fireplace. If you want to dine in, he kitchen is complete with pots and pans, utensils, and everything you might need. Coffee and sugar and creamers are provided. Perhaps walk to the Vino Block and Butcher shop one block away for charcuterie boards, fresh shrimp, and premium cuts of meat. Enjoy Direct TV, HBO Max, and more. If you decide to drive anywhere, the water park here is incredible. Kids love it! The internet is fast and reliable, and I am leaving two charging ports that work for IPhones. I do ask for something from you: Enjoy, but be respectful of the high end decor and furnishings (no red wine on the white couch please---smile!). The new ( December 2022) couch opens to become a queen size sleeper. Come and experience the charm of this former children's clothing store, and now one of my homes. Yes, I do live here when it is not rented by guests. As your host, I will be available by text or cell if you have any needs or questions. My name is Michael. This listing is new in 2023 and I want it to become the most favored on VRBO.

Thank you for your review Amy and congratulations on your graduation of your son. Reach out to me anytime you would like to come back to Hartsville. You were a wonderful guest.
This property is beautiful inside. Very spacious and definitely beats staying in a hotel room. It’s fully furnished and nothing we needed was missing. The location is great. Walking distance to many boutiques, restaurants and Cocker University. We are so glad we chose this location.

Thank you Beth for your review after visiting my home. You certainly will be welcome back with open arms anytime that my home is available.
Stepping into this home was like stepping into a magazine. Everything was impeccably decorated, and I was totally amazed at how close I was to be able to walk to so many different restaurants, shopping , and/or entertainment. The host was very easy to work with, and I highly recommend this home. I give it five stars.

Thank you for a nice review. Please come back soon!
Wow! This downtown store that has been renovated as a first class apartment is such a gem. We had 4 women staying in this one bedroom apartment and we had room to spare. The pullout sofa was so comfy and we brought an air mattress that perfectly fit in the front enclave. The kitchen was well stocked and beautifully decorated. We were just 5 minutes walking from the Mantissa rooftop bar and dining options are also within walking distance. Parking was plentiful and there are some great stores right next door. Oh and the best part was the very large bathroom with a modern shower and lots of room. We all give you 5 stars!

About the host

I think if I tell my life story, most would think it fiction. I have loved my work and been blessed to work and live in some incredible locations: Australia ( 54 steps to the Indian Ocean), Montana (on the Blackfoot Reservation) overlooking the Rocky mountains, St. Simons And Hilton Head Islands. I have been blessed to have traveled extensively, and owned this amazing home since 2018. My family likes to celebrate Christmas in this home. It is so beautiful when decorated for Christmas. I welcome "y'all" as my guests on VRBO, and who knows, we may become friends for a lifetime. Michael
Why they chose this property
There is nothing else really like it in Hartsville. Park your car and walk to most anything you need (other than the grocery store or the water park). We have street dances one Friday evening a month on College Avenue, a one minute walk from my front door. There is even a dog grooming salon just a block away.Hartsville is home to the SC governors School for Mathematics and Science, and a fortune 500 company, Sunoco. Hartsville is a special place!
