About this property

Mountain Top Glamping Tree House with a Star Bed

I am excited to welcome you to our unique Tree House Glamping Suite , which provides experiences that are all about immersive luxury living in remote wilderness.

Your 3 level suite , tastefully & uniquely decorated is surrounded by a 10,000 Sq M of private space with a magical star bed and bush bathtub overlooking the grasslands and a mountain range.

By reserving the Tree House Suite , serviced by 4 staff and a chef , you can exclusively use a 10,000 Sq M of private space.

Your Tree House Suite, built having a magnificent view , tastefully & uniquely decorated, is surrounded by a 10,000 Sq M of private space with a magical star bed and bush bathtub overlooking the grasslands and mountains.
The Tree House Suite consists of 3 levels and is built using sustainably sourced timber.

Climbing the first flight of stairs , you will arrive at a beautifully decorated lounge area equipped with a comfortable living room set up. You can open up this space from all 4 sides and it is ideal to enjoy your cup of coffee or read a book.

From here , you take the second flight of stairs and arrive at an upper lounge area with a breathtaking view of the grassland and mountains. The tastefully decorated lounge is equipped with a mini-library, writing table and a chair, as well as an antique long bench and a single seater armchair centered with a coffee table.

From the lounge you enter the cozy bed-room with a queen sized bed outfitted with luxury cotton lines and a gel duvet .

Very spacious “Bean Bag lounge,” is located between the Bedroom and the Bathroom, and boasts our signature “sewing machine washbasin”, a luggage rack, cloth rack, safe , and of course, bean bags!

The wall to wall carpeted Bathroom as big as the Bed Room is equipped with a high pressure hot & cold shower, commode , cloth rack etc.

From the bedroom , there is a rear door accessing the “Bean Bag lounge” and we use this space to add 2 extra single beds , when a family occupies the Forest Suite. We can add another two single beds to the lower lounge area as well.

Tea and Coffee making facilities are available with high quality Sri Lankan Sole Coffee and World Renowned Dilmah Tea. Unlimited replenishment is available throughout your stay.

Your elevated private Bush Bathtub is located in a very cozy spot just adjacent to the main deck. You access it through the rear entrance of the upper deck. It’s beautifully decorated with improvised lanterns and is equipped with a bathtub caddy to help you keep a book or glass of wine when you get soaked in a hot bubble bath.

Your private magical start bed is located a few steps away from the Bush Bathtub.

Out of the three levels in your suite , the lowest section is your “Hammock Wing'' as well as the place to try your painting skills.
Your easel, drawing books and pastels are there to bring out the painter in you.
Your private magical start bed is located a few steps away from the Hammock Wing.
We offer you approximately 10,000 square metres of private space for each suite ; arguably the largest of its kind in any wildlife camp, lodge, hotel or other accommodation in Sri Lanka.

Inside this vast area, you will find a luxurious living space with plenty of cozy and private nooks for you to read, relax, meditate, and practice yoga.

But, what sets it even further apart from any other accommodation in Sri Lanka, is the private Star Bed and Bush Bathtub that accompany each living space.

Ahaspokuna is the only accommodation in Sri Lanka, and quite possibly in this part of the world, to have a full-fledged, independent Star Bed for each living space.

A bathtub connected to hot & cold water overlooks the grasslands with every living space. You are invited to use it at any time of the day for a completely refreshing experience, and with complete privacy.

There is a very healthy and happy herd of elephants living in the vicinity of Ahaspokuna and they quite frequently pay visits to see how we are doing. They have been doing it for generations and we never want to block their paths. So we’ve built a safety fence encircling your Suite Tent, for your safety, but left the entire land free for them to wander as they please.

Enjoy bush walks in a way that has never been done before in Sri Lanka
Whether it’s a short and easy trail, a half-day trail of moderate difficulty, or an adventurous full-day trail, Ahaspokuna has it all ! !

Elephant forged trails take you through beautiful scenery, mountain ranges, waterfalls, grasslands and even through rural villages, all the while bringing you close encounters and sightings of birds and beasts of the land. All walks will be guided by a professional Naturalist and experienced Bushman, who’ve lived in this forested area for generations.

It gives me great pleasure that you are reading this page , as most probably you are interested in booking an “Experiential Space” under the Eco Team Group , founded by me.

Though I may not be there to welcome each one of you personally, my able team will take care of you the same as me or even better . .

It’s high time that we, as the key tourism industry stakeholders, understand our responsibility when it comes to creating accommodation and expenses. We should not limit our creativity and only flock to where everyone else is going. We should have the courage, creativity and grit to go to places that seldom others go to and create a successful, creative and sustainable Tourism Experience. This is exactly what I have done with the experiential living spaces I have created under the Eco Team Group
