Hey Chris—really appreciate you taking the time to leave that review.
So glad to hear you had a great week out on Russell and that the house worked well for you. That’s exactly what we hope for—easy access to the ramps, a clean spot to land after a long day on the water, and a place that just feels comfortable.
You’re always welcome back anytime. Just say the word when you’re heading down this way again—we’d love to have you.

Candice, thank you so much for the kind review. It was a pleasure hosting your husband, and the boys during the Lake Russell bass tournament weekend. I’m really glad the house worked well for your trip and that the location made it convenient for getting out on the water. You all were wonderful guests and you’re always welcome back anytime you’re fishing Lake Russell again. Tight lines and safe travels!
Very friendly and communicative host! The space was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the thoughtful personal touches and the warm welcome with local treats. We would absolutely recommend staying here!

Great host! Comfy little cabin with nice kitchen and back deck.
Host was very nice and gave us great info on restaurants and things to see. . Place was clean and in a nice neighborhood. Great for our dogs who traveled with us as there was a large fenced yard for them to run around. Would recommend.
Everything as described, great support/communication from owner
Property is as described. We had a late cancellation due to weather and Alex(owner) supported us by changing the reservation last minute. I understand that this isn't always possible but it provides a LOT of confidence in booking knowing the owner is willing to help in any way he can. Much appreciated and will stay here again
Unlike travelers, I am from Elbert County. Our home had to be remodeled due to a water leak. This house is close to everything Elbert County has to offer. Alex, made my life so much easier...he was able to extend our stay for 3 extra days. Wonderful experience in a stressful time.
I'm not sure anyone has ever rented this place before. The location was great. And it was very private. If it is going to be rented there needs to be a few things done. There is a very nice deck out back but there was one lounge type chair and a very small table and two chairs. They need to put more chairs out there! And the front porch was really awesome but here again, the furniture out there was sparse! Folding metal chairs to sit on which are very uncomfortable. And the strangest VERY low tables. If they had a few rocking chairs out there it would be wonderful! Like I said, I think it's the first time this was ever rented. There are very few pots and pans in the kitchen. There were very few linens. If they really want to spiff this place up, try painting the walls white! It's pretty dark inside. It was pretty clean, but the linen closet in the hall bath felt a little dirty. I really don't mean to criticize too much, but it could be a really wonderful place with a little work! If fixed up, I wouldn't mind renting it again. There could stand to be some more furniture in the living room also. but one thing that needs to be done for sure is that the mattress in the back bedroom with the bath needs to be replaced! It seems really old! Sorry for the critique but I wanted to be honest. If you really want to make money on this house, you just need to do a few things to make it a little more cozy. We were very thankful that it was available for us.

Hi Luci! Message received loud and clear. Recent purchase should solve some of your suggestions. Thank you for your informative review.
The home was exceptionally clean and organized. The property was very private with large porches / decks to enjoy the natural beauty. Conveniently located close enough to town, but far enough away to have a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. For people coming to Lake Russell for fishing or boating, it works out perfectly.

Thank you so much for the kind words—I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
I’m glad you enjoyed both the privacy and the balance of being close to town while still feeling tucked away. That’s exactly what I was hoping to create with the space. And it’s great to hear the porches and decks got some good use—those are some of my favorite spots on the property.
Also really happy to hear it worked well for your time at Lake Russell—it’s such a special area for fishing and being on the water.
You’re welcome back anytime, and I’d be glad to host you again.
The house was top notch in the clean department, it was conveniently located near food shopping and restaurants. Although within 6 minutes of Elberton, the house is far enough away to have a country feel to it. The Bungalow has a big front yard, large covered porch in the front and a large private deck in the back. The neighborhood was quiet and felt completely safe. The owner, Alex, was outstanding. He could not do enough to make my stay a great experience! I stayed at the bungalow for 9 nights, I was in the area to clear land for an upcoming retirement home my wife and I are going to have built this year. Although the bungalow is 30 miles from our land I would gladly stay here again for all of the aforementioned reasons. Anyway, I would like to finish this up with a; Thank you Alex for being so accommodating and attentive in answering my questions! .......Jim.

Jim—this means a lot, truly.
I’m really glad the house gave you that balance of convenience and a little breathing room out in the country—that’s exactly what I hope people feel when they’re there. Sounds like you had a productive trip too, getting things moving on your future home… that’s an exciting chapter.
Appreciate you noting the cleanliness, the space, and the quiet—those are things I care a lot about, so it’s great to hear they came through during your stay. And thank you for the kind words about me as well. I’m always just trying to make it easy and comfortable for folks while they’re there.
You and your wife are more than welcome back anytime, especially as things progress with your land. Would love to have you again.
All the best with the build—and thanks again for taking the time to write this.
