About this property

Columbia Mountain Basecamp - Amazing Views, Close to Glacier

Welcome to the Columbia Mountain Basecamp, located in Columbia Falls - the “Gateway to Glacier National Park". The property is well located, yet it feels like you’re in your own paradise (2.4 acres), away from city life.

Imagine waking up and sipping your coffee looking at the stunning mountain views from the front porch, deck, or simply inside. The mountain views, wide open spaces, and a charming country feel make this property the perfect spot for your Northwest Montana getaway!

The Space
This listing includes two homes: the Rustic Wonder is a 2B/2B main house and the Outdoors Retreat is a 1B/1B guest house.

• The Rustic Wonder is a farmhouse chic two-bedroom/two-bathroom home that has been recently upgraded and most furniture is brand new. The main bedroom has a king-size Tempurpedic bed, a smart TV, and a jetted spa (in addition to a large shower) to relax and recharge the batteries after a fun day in the great outdoors. The second bedroom has two bunk beds: one with a full bed underneath and a twin bed on top (weight capacity is 400 lbs) and another one with two twin beds (weight capacity of lower bunk is 250 lbs; weight capacity of upper bunk is 200 lbs). The living space has a great open floorplan with a wood burning stove in the middle of it and a large flatscreen smart TV that can be seen from all corners of the space. The beautiful mountain views can also be seen from anywhere in the living space and there are windows on 3 sides of it, providing wonderful natural light. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and cooking equipment. The dining room has a long table that can accommodate 10 people comfortably. The living room has a beautiful mural behind the sofa that brings the surrounding outdoors in. In addition to the sectional couch, there are two reclining gliders. The house is decorated with a Glacier, mountain, and Montana theme. A full-size washer and dryer are available for guest usage. It also has heat for the winter and the living space also has a/c should you want it in the summer (not required in MT). There is a large deck next to the living space for BBQing and outdoor dining while enjoying Montana’s big sky. Or maybe you want to use it for yoga practice in the morning or stargazing at night.
• The Outdoors Retreat is a simply charming one-bedroom/one-bathroom home that has been recently remodeled and most furniture is brand new. The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and a beautiful mural behind the bed that brings the surrounding outdoors in. The living room has a sectional with a queen-size pull-out bed. There is a large flatscreen smart TV mounted on the wall for enjoying some down time at night after enjoying outdoor activities. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances and cookware. The house is decorated with a Glacier and Montana theme. A full-size washer and dryer are available for guest usage. It also has heat for the winter, but it does not currently have a/c (not required in MT).

The property has parking for 4 cars; however, the garage is not currently available for guest usage/parking.

Whether you're looking to get out and explore, get out of the big city and work remote with awe inspiring (and constantly changing) views, or just relax and enjoy the beautiful Montana weather, this is the perfect spot for everything! Plan your stay today and enjoy the fresh mountain air and this beautiful land! Life’s too short not to!

Guest Access
There is a firepit in the yard for those nights around a campfire, making marshmallows.

The Wi-Fi on the property is reliable and most cell phone service is great, but one can also connect to “Wi-Fi Calling,” if necessary, as well.

If you plan on working from/while at the property and you'd like a separate computer station, please let us know. We can most likely provide a portable (light weight) computer desk with a hutch (see provided picture) and a computer screen (with HDMI), if desired.

We really enjoyed the change of pace at Colombia Mountain Basecamp. The home gave us lots of space to spread out. We loved relaxing on the porch after a day exploring!

We are Jared and Yasmina. Neither of us are from Montana but we got here as soon as we could! After a few extended-stay summers in the Flathead Valley, we were excited to purchase the beautiful Columbia Mountain Basecamp property to come year-round and welcome guests from across the world.

Turns out summers are awesome, but winters are magical! Every season here is unique and equally wonderful. Please let us know if we can make any suggestions about the area. We’ve explored in every direction, in all modes of transportation, and in all seasons.

Fair warning: It’s hard to leave this wonderful place known as The Treasure State!
