In the heart of Harbor Country the Wooden Sandal Retreat is a walk or quick bike ride to everything. Close to the Whittaker St for shopping and restaurants. Walking distance to the marina and the beach! Completely renovated cottage, this 2 bedroom, 1 bath is anything but cozy! The primary bedroom has a Queen bed. The second bedroom has built-in bunks with 2 full on the bottom and 2 twins on top. The kitchen is fully stocked and the home is set up to sleep a max of 6 people. The backyard of dreams is fenced in and has a heated pool, hot tub, fire pit, huge yard and gorgeous deck patio for lounging away the sunny days! Perfect for a getaway any time of year! *Hot tub is open year round * Pool is Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day

Very nice stay, we had a great time, but.......

Overall we loved the jacussi and pool, as they worked very well as all appliances and a/c, etc. The property manager is nice and answered our inquiries, but we should have been informed of key and lockbox well before the travel day. The cleanliness was fair at best. The bathroom has a moldy smell, the shower curtain stained. Kitchen cabinets not very clean, the window sills dirty, especially the back screen door. Take a look. Also, coffee cups had coffee stains which we had to scrub. Yuk. Also, the propane tank was empty, and we had to get an exchange. A great time we had, but it needs a deep cleaning and disinfecting.

Nice Time

We enjoyed the house very much! It was everything we were hoping for. It was perfect for our family of 6. The space was very cute with the decor. We loved the pool and hot tub. The location was perfect for the New Buffalo beach and very close to the Warren Dunes.

Monica started North Star Properties with one goal. To better serve the Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan Area with a concierge service mentality for short term rentals. From the North suburbs of Detroit she was bred to be in the real estate industry. Both of her parents were entrepreneurs. She watched as her father built Gauthier Corporation, a very successful construction company, which is still running as strong as ever. Her mother started a cleaning company that meticulously made sure every home shined like the top of the Chrysler building. Working for both of her parents growing up, she understands the drive and passion it takes to achieve success. Prior to starting North Star Properties, she sold real estate on the Northside of Chicago before moving to the Dunes and making a permanent home.
