This recently renovated first floor unit features 2 BR/1 BATH, living room, fully functional kitchen, private POOL(one of the few properties in the area with this feature), outdoor BBQ and FIREPIT. Conveniently located walking distance to the river, hiking trails, and mountain biking trails known as the Cartecay River Loop Trails. For those mountain bike enthusiasts we are also located approximately 30 minutes from Bear Creek and Pinhoti trails. This is a perfect place for a weekend mountain getaway to North Georgia or for an extended stay. Plenty of parking with easily accessible paved roads leading up to the property. Lots of parking space for vehicles, trailers, ATVs, and motorcycles.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, which is why we ensure that all lines, bed covers, and towels are washed and changed after every guest stay. The entire unit has been fully remodeled and features new furniture, furnishings, linens, towels, and kitchen utensils. Below is a brief description of each space:

I am originally from Miami, Florida. I enjoy traveling and the great outdoors. I fell in love with Ellijay after visiting a dear friend. When I am at the property, I enjoy talking to the guests and providing suggestions to great hikes, waterfalls, restaurants, and of course wineries.

Why they chose this property

Ellijay is a charming small town, about 30 minutes south of the more popular Blue Ridge. The locals are very friendly. I enjoy waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and watching the deer come through my yard. I dream of Ellijay all that time and wish I could spend more time here. Once I retire from my job in Miami, Florida, I look forward to spending my days in Ellijay.

What makes this property unique

The property sits on almost 6 acres of land. The first floor of the home which is the area guests occupy has been renovated which includes new walls, new flooring, new ceiling, new linens and towels, and everything else you need to feel right at home. Our home features a large saltwater pool open for guest use from May through September. One of the few properties in Ellijay with its own private pool. Guests can enjoy the summer out by the pool while grilling some delicious food in the outdoor BBQ area. Outdoor space also includes seating and outdoor dining.

During the summer, you will see the River Tubing "Uber" coming through taking folks to the river. For you, while staying at our home, the property is located only 1/2 mile from the river. You can enjoy all the tubing you like by taking a quick stroll down the street.

Also, 1/2 mile in the opposite direction, there are hiking and mountain biking trails which lead you to the river. The trail is known as the Cartecay River Trails. For my mountain biking friends, the Pinhoti trails and Bear Creek Trail loop are located approximately 30 minutes from the property. You can also enjoy hiking at nearby Amicalola State Park, Yonah Mountain, or Blood Mountain.

This small town packs a lot of action. All year round, come visit and taste Georgia's finest wines while enjoying local live music. During the fall, join us for Ellijay's famous Apple Festival and in the winter, come celebrate the holidays at Lights of Ellijay!

Our mountain home is conveniently located near all the action while continuing to maintain that quiet getaway from the city's hustle and bustle.
