Welcome to Oak Lodge. Comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen, and cozy home layout make this an ideal basecamp for your Smoky Mountain adventures. This is a no smoking/no vaping property. Max of 3 vehicles permitted - stay on driveway.
Start your day off with a brisk walk around the neighborhood, or just hang out on the back deck or front porch with a cup of coffee.
Each mattress has been selected with comfort in mind so guests wake rested and ready to explore. You can be on the Foothills Parkway in about 15 minutes to catch views of the Smokies. Home is cozy and inviting. Kitchen is well equipped for meal prep and spacious enough for hanging out over coffee.
Keurig and a 12+ cup coffee pot provided - cups are in the cabinet above.
Cooking pots, pans, baking sheets, and casserole dishes are on lower shelves beside stove.
Extra throws provided for cozying up to watch a movie or read a book.
Allergy friendly laundry detergent provided for guests for at least 8 loads. Please do not use fabric softners as we strive to keep this a low allergen home.
If you enjoy mountain views and small towns, take a day out of your trip to drive The Dragon towards Deals Gap, NC, then back into TN via the Cherohala Skyway. Take a detour just near the end of the Cherohala to Bald River Falls or catch a slaw dog and milkshake at The Beach drive-in right on the Tellico River (no bathrooms).
Here in summer? Love the water? Rent a pontoon boat in advance at Sequoyah Marina in Vonore (30 minutes) and head up-river towards Chilhowee Dam for a day of swimming, fishing (get your permits), or visit the location of the Cherokee Indian Village where Tennessee got its name. Spend days exploring GSMNP via car or hiking trails. Don't forget to pick up your GSMNP Parking Pass effective 2023 prior to entering the park.
Plan to spend a day tubing the Little River in Townsend. Most tubing companies will take you back to float the river all day... so pack a picnic and float the river a few times. **Bring goggles and a water proof case for taking photos with your phone plus a water bottle for hot days.
Relax at Vienna Coffee House or Southern Grace Coffee House in Maryville in the mornings.
Check out many of the local eateries including Los Amigos, Bluetick Tavern, Calhoun's, and so many more.
Chick-fil-A has 2 locations - each within 15ish minutes ;)
Enjoy the Greenbelt walking/running trails and its' playgrounds in and through Maryville and Alcoa. In Summer check out John Sevier Pool just 10 minutes away.
We hope you enjoy your stay!
