About this property

Our house was built in the 1940s, but a few years ago we added a glass veranda and the upper floor. We have kept much of the 40s style, which means there are many smaller rooms but also open spaces that provide the opportunity for both socializing and personal space. We love our house and hope you do too.
Normally our whole family lives in the house, which we have made as cozy and nice as possible. During the summer months, the garden is a big extension of the house with plenty of space and cozy furniture.

The entire house and garden are yours during the rental period, except for the basement which consists of a seperate flat. The heated spa bath is temporarily closed. The outdoors pool (unheated) is available from mid-June to the end of August.

Our house is located in Tallkrogen, which consists mostly of small private homes built in the 1930s and 1940s. It is a friendly and cozy area with a mix of older households and families.

The house and area is well connected to Stockholm. Getting into central Stockholm is easy by car, subway, on foot, or by bike, with the most convenient options being by car or subway, although cycling is also a lovely option.

We are close to Skogskyrkogården, which is a World Heritage Site and great for walking. There is space for parking on the driveway or the street outside the house.

Great Location near Stockholm downtown

This property worked very nicely as a larger home to accommodate me and my three adult children while we visited my daughter who was studying in Stockholm. The owners were prompt and helpful in their responses to my requests. I would recommend this rental as a great value for a larger group wanting to be close to Stockholm. There’s a close grocery store, train stop, and a few restaurant options in walking distance. The nearby woodland cemetery Skogskyrkogarden is a very pleasant and interesting stroll if you have time

We are the Sheffield family, consisting of Anders, Emily, Lisa and Harry. We moved in to our house in 2009 and have been renovating ever since. Emily works with insurance and Anders runs a vintage store near the house. Lisa is 11 and attends an english school where also Harry (9) will start after summer. Part of the family is also Anders mother Gunvor where we stay when we let our house if we are not travelling together.

Our house is unique in the area the way it has been extended to include lots of bedrooms, lots of living rooms and also a pool and a hot tub in a secluded garden. We are near the city but also near swimming and sea. Perfect house for a family/ extended family or friends holiday.
