About this property
Cozy Cottage~Mini Golf! ~Aeneas Valley
This Cozy Cottage, in the gorgeous Aeneas Valley, has 45 beautiful acres. Enjoy a 1/3 mile of river on the property, a short walk from the cottage. Here in the country you will enjoy quiet, peace & solitude. Geo Cache, Treasure Hunt Adventure, 9 hole mini golf, swim, fish, hike, snowshoe, relax, bird watch, star gaze & view wildlife. We live on the property, but will respect how much interaction you want. Referred to by visitors as a spiritual sanctuary, come relax and destress.
The space
**PLEASE NOTE*** AWD, 4x4 or chains required in winter months, sometimes late fall and early spring!! We have a short, but steep hill.
The Aeneas Valley (pronounced ē knee us) will capture your heart and spirit, it is a magical valley that is quite breathtaking with it's majestic pines, snow covered mountains, creeks, rivers & lakes. The cottage has 2 bedrooms: 1 queen & 1 single bed, a comfy futon in the living area and 1 bathroom. Please note: Both bedrooms have heavy curtains for doors. The single bedroom is shared with the hot water heater, washer & dryer, and electrical panel. The fireplace is electric. The futon is a double bed and we have a memory foam topper for you to put on it, making it even more comfy. There is a fully stocked kitchen, BBQ, and fire pit. Pets are not allowed.
We have a brand new 9 hole miniature golf course! It’s fun and challenging for the whole family. Please watch kids and be respectful. Closed during winter due to snow load.
The main house can be seen from the cottage, but there is lots of privacy between the two. We stay to ourselves and let you set the parameters on how much interaction you would like with us. You may see us outside performing normal chores and maintenance from time to time. Please feel free to come over and say hi or let us know how you are doing and if you need anything.
The Cottage is just miles from national forest, 26 miles to Tonasket & 41 to Republic and is close to Sitzmark ski area, Canada and lots of lakes. A great hopping off point for many recreational activities. The Aeneas Valley store is just one and a half miles away and will have about anything you might need, including Not Doug’s Cafe and Espresso (fabulous food).
Feel free to fish for trout in our river (current license required), swim, hike or picnic, anywhere on our 45 acres. There is a public Geo Cache on the property. Partake in our Treasure Hunt Adventure, hike from clue to clue and find the treasure at the end! (A real take-home treasure) (Sturdy hiking shoes recommended… this is a hike and not a quick, simple walk. There are simple walks on the property....) Fire pit open unless a fire ban is on. Wood provided.
We have THE coolest sled hill ever! With no close neighbors, quiet, serenity and peace are yours to enjoy. Great getaway for writers and artists too! We have 2 pair of snowshoes to lend you, and a few sleds..
***4x4, AWD or chains may be required in winter months, late fall or early spring. We have a short, but steep hill just before you get to the cottage.***
Be sure and check out the “Guidebook” below for things to do and visit in the area!
We have high speed internet, Netflix and Amazon Prime movies. Built in 2017, the cottage is sure to please.
PLEASE NOTE: We have a young miniature poodle dog you may see on the property named Poppy. Swim, slide, swing, sled, and recreate at your own risk.
The cottage does not sit directly on the river, but is just a short walk away.
You will have access to all our 45 acres with the river running 1/3 mile through it. No smoking on the property.
We have a “No pet” policy.
Check out is promptly at 11 am! No exceptions. Cleaners will show up at the door at 11:05.
Other things to note
AWD or 4x4 recommended for winter and early spring months. Front wheel drive may or may not work for some cars…chains may be needed. Road will be plowed, but there is a short but steep hill going up to the property. Driveway is about a 1/4 mile gravel after you leave the pavement. Go across the river and up the hill to the property. PLEASE leave green gate closed at all times!
Towels and linens are provided, there is a fully equipped kitchen including a coffee maker, microwave, full fridge and stove.

About the host
Hosted by Rick & Valerie Braman
We have 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren. We love to camp, hike, snow shoe and fish. We love taking care of our 45 acres and the gorgeous river on the property. We enjoy reading in the winter while drinking mocha's in front of the cozy fire. We rely on peace, quiet and serenity to stay grounded. Life is too short not to live everyday like it's your last.
Why they chose this property
This property is very unique in that it has privacy, seclusion and peace. With loads of things to do like mini golf, treasure hunt, fish, geo cache, hiking, snowshoeing, you would never need to leave the property. If relaxing under the stars in the hot tub or reading a book by the river are your thing, we've got that too! With many, many pristine mountain lakes and streams in the area, this is a great base to fish, hunt, hike and explore. Nearby ghost towns, wineries, ski hills and museum are great way to explore the area even more!
What makes this property unique
The most relaxing and fun property all in one! So quiet your ears ring!
