The gleaming sands of Perdido Key glisten just beneath your waterfront, seventh-floor balcony at this charming coastal condo, offering sweeping Gulf views. Step out the front door and walk to several local restaurants; spend the day lounging on the sand, or pull up a chaise by the complex pool and work on your tan right downstairs. Perdido Key State Park is just over a mile west, and Johnson Beach National Seashore is a little over a mile east.

At home, start each day with coffee and sea breezes on your balcony, then step inside to the full, well-equipped kitchen to make some breakfast when you get hungry. Grab a bite at the adjacent dining table or pull up a barstool for a quick snack, then head out to explore.

When you return, toss the day’s clothes in the washer/dryer for a quick refresh, then relax in AC while you watch a bit of TV or use the free WiFi to post the day’s beach pics to social media. Tuck the kids into the fun hallway bunks, then end the day back out on the balcony with a toast to booking the perfect Perdido escape.

Comfortable accommodations

This unit looked nice & was clean. The living room couch & chair were comfortable. The balcony is small, but has 2 chairs & a small table for enjoying the beautiful view. The main bed was comfortable, but the mattresses on the bunk beds in the hallway felt like crib mattresses & the length only fits a 4.5 ft tall person. The kitchen counters were nice &, while the stove & fridge both worked fine, they definitely showed signs of aging. Be sure to bring your own salt & pepper, zip lock bags, etc. It's also missing a spatula for flipping pancakes. There's very limited counter space at the bathroom sink, but there is a small medicine cabinet for some things and a small dresser in the hallway to put items on. The stacking washer & dryer were very convenient, but the low heat was much hotter than I anticipated & a few of my items shrank. There were plenty of bathroom towels & wash cloths for our needs, but we never found linens for the fold out couch. The internet worked well, but cable TV was intermittent. The Cox Cable worker indicated the issue involved the whole building. Live TV thru Roku was the alternate way to watch TV. The beach was nice & not too crowded (being in October.) I was disappointed with the communication with Vacasa. I had to call them a few times & the wait, whether via text or live rep, was 10min. I didn't receive the code for the door in advance so had to wait in the parking lot until I could speak with someone. Overall, I would recommend this unit.

Hangin on to summer

Perfect location and Great pool! Condo was clean and nicely decorated, and had a huge comfy bed. Right across the street from several places to eat and shop so we barely had to drive anywhere. Beautiful place, was not ready to leave and will definitely be back!

They wouldn't let anyone check in early even tho the units were ready. Property needs repairs and updates. Pool toys were all flat with wholes in them. The bunk beds are useless unless used by a toddler ( they are about 4 feet long and top bunk person would hit their head on ceiling). Door frames are rusted out with holes in them. Towel bar was broke and laying on bathroom floor. No batteries in TV remote. Was reported when checked in but no one came. Washing machine was very loud, sounded like it was going to fall apart any minute

Disappointed

Several of the items in the unit especially in the kitchen didn’t work. The mixer, toaster, pan was scorched., coffee machine and while trying to prepare a meal we discover the knives are rusty and not sharp enough to cut a potato! Even the closet door was off the track in the bedroom! The water was turned off one day without notice and the television wasn’t working. Whenever we contacted Vacasa they would say let me check if that is part of your amenities before they would help us. Then after a 10-15 minute hold, they would come back and say yes, it is part of your amenities, then they would text an extremely long reply on how to fix the problem and then say have a good night. As if everything was fine! We would contact them again and have to start all over- explaining again. Over an hour on the phone! We have come to Perdido Key Skye in the past but have never had such a terrible customer service experience. Even the towel rack was falling off the wall, so we had to hang out towels by outside! For the money we paid this should have been a five star experience! We are VERY disappointed!! Last year we told all our friends in Texas how great it was, but after this we wont be returning to the Perdido Skye!

Horrible management

We checked in and gave the condo a quick scan. Everything was nice and clean except the bathroom. We had no toilet paper left for us at all. The towel bar leaning against the wall. Our cable also didn't work at all. I called right away just worried we would be charged for it. The girl I spoke to was incredibly rude. She hung up. When I called by she kept repeating over and over that I was the one who hung up. She said someone would be out by the end of night to check out the towel bar. She also said that if I wanted the cable fixed I should call the cable company myself. She when said if no one showed up to see the towel bar, it was my responsibility to call and make sure someone came. Well of course no one came. We had to run across the bridge to two different stores to find toilet paper. Called back in the morning to not only say no one came but that our air conditioning wasn't working. The man I spoke to (10am) unsured me someone would be out by the end of the day. Mind you it was 120 degrees with heat index. I had text the day before it was returned 24 hours later (4pm). I text her back and she said she would make sure someone came for the air. Finally after 6pm someone came just for the air. No one with toilet paper or for towel bar. To sum up our trip: No one ever came. I sent so much time on the phone, had to carry our valuables around the whole trip because I wasn't sure when someone would be in our room, the people at vacasa were rude.
