I recently stayed for my birthday with family for a couple of days. Although I was somewhat worried about my stay, Jordan was kind, friendly and communicated with me quickly with any questions I had. The apartment is in great condition, rooms and bathroom are big. The living area has a lot of space to cook and eat. The couches are big enough to accommodate at least two people and as well as the balcony has a zen and beautiful view both during the day and night. Everything is close to everything touristic (30 min plus or minus) and there’s gas station and convenience stores close by, not to mention LAX is 15 min away. I would definitely stay again in the near future and recommend anyone who’s trying to stay as a whole family.
The condo is located near Marina Del Rey. Communication with the owner was minimal and not equivalent to the numerous, other VRBO rentals we have enjoyed. The space was not prepared for our entry time with wet towels and linens sitting in the dryer and the bathrooms were not clean, with no toilet paper available. Overall, the rental was less than we thought it would be from the pictures, the carpets were stained and blinds were broken. When we messaged the owner, there was not a response or information on how to check out.

A Three-Star Stay
Pros: space is large and adequately appointed, large bathrooms and comfortable beds, location is good, secured off-street parking space, easy checkin.
Cons: this is a unit in a large corporate-owned apartment block, so you get the wear and tear from such a situation. Host rents several units in the building. Unclear if this is an illegal sublet. Eviction notice posted on the door and several on the ground when we arrived gave us concern, but host assured us it was a mistake and taken care of. Bedroom carpets are worn and stained, need to be steam cleaned or replaced.
Overall: busy graduation weekend in LA, so low hospitality inventory, high prices. Got what we paid for. One star deduction for the eviction notices. Probably would stay again if price was an issue and needed to be on the West Side.
The listing says there is a lagoon shaped swimming pool, but as Apartment Venice Beach had to know, the pool is being refurbished and has been out of commission for some time. They said they would relocate us to a unit with access to a pool, and then there was radio silence. Apart from the deception, the master bedroom carpet was stained and grimy, one's feet turned black when walking around barefoot, and there were bits of garbage under the furniture. The manager of the condo complex told us that vrbo is not supposed to operate there, so one might say that Apartment Venice Beach are operating their "illegally".
