Genuine 1865 Vermont VT Farmhouse with hand-hewn wood beams in rural setting. 3 floors and 3,000 sq ft. Totally updated. With 800 feet of brook + brook-fed, swimming pond and waterfall on 2 acres of private land. Beautiful flower gardens in the summer. You are in the Green Mountains but less 2 minutes from a gas station, groceries, restaurants and ski shop and bike shop.

Total land is 5.5 acres. Park 2 x SUVs in the driveway and 3 x SUVs across the road in from of our barn (not included in the rental). Flat land and 800 feet to hard surface roads.

High quality Xfinity (Comcast) cable feed for TVs, Internet and landline. Excellent cell phone service. This is our second home, with well-equipped kitchen and amenities. Pets allowed.

Beautiful Property great for Big families

Beautiful home and property. Very close to the mountain and a great host. Everything was as described and a lot of informative information was provided to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Thank you it sure made for a wonderful break for our family.

We purchased the property in 1997 and totally up-dated it. This is our second home for our family (including our 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren). Comfortable, yet decorated with some antiques appropriate for a 150-year old home. Although we just recently listed with vrbo, we have been renting for some 20 years. Our friends, who take care of the property, live only a 1/2 mile down the road. When you arrive, you find the door unlocked and the house warmed up.

Why they chose this property

Not a ski house. This genuine Vermont Farmhouse is totally modernized and located in a rural setting. But just minutes away from everything you need: gasoline; groceries and beverages; restaurants; and ski and bike service. You are 10 minutes from the Stratton Mountain Parking Garage; 20 minutes from Bromley; and 25 minutes from Magic Mountain.

What makes this property unique

We are on flat land. Wonderful road for walking along the Winhall River and biking. Rural setting but convenient to everything. 800 feet to hard surface roads. You can swim in our brook-fed pond. 1 mile down the road, there is grotto, where people swim in the Winhall River. There is a public swimming pool with covered building to grill and hang out. 2 miles from the house.

Golfing: Big facility up on Stratton Mountain - 10 minutes away. Windham Golf Course is 30 minutes away.
