Peaceful, fabulous apartment in country
We stayed in apartment 2 in this tastefully restored Shaker barn which was decorated beautifully, with a well supplied kitchen, lovely antiques, located on a peaceful country road just a few miles outside the small city of Pittsfield MA. As we were returning to our hometown for a high school reunion, we brought our small senior dogs with us. We appreciated that there was a separate door to the back yard from the living room area, so we could easily let our dogs outside without disturbing anyone in the adjacent apartment. When we arrived the place was pretty chilly (55-degrees) so it took more than an hour for the baseboard heat to come up after we adjusted the thermostat. We texted Michelle and she told us where to find the space heater which boosted the temp pretty quickly. Once temps reached a comfortable setting, the place was plenty warm for the remainder of the stay. We took in a couple of beautiful hikes within a few miles from the house (Hollow Fields hike to Richmond Overlook) and then the nearby Shaker Mt Trail. We would easily return to this lovely location for a future visit to the Pittsfield/Berkshire area!

I bought this barn last year and it's been a long fun project and is almost finished! The two one bedroom apartments are done and ready to rent. The larger one is almost ready! I live nearby in Great Barrington, Mass. I returned to the Berkshires after living in California for many decades, and am so happy to be here! The Berkshires are the best. Dublinshire Farm is chic, charming and comfy.

Why they chose this property

Located on a quiet country road, but within 15 minutes (or less!) to wonderful area attractions.
