About this property
40-acre retreat with hot tub & games
A PRIVATE WEST MICHIGAN BASECAMP FOR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS
The Hopkins Hideaway gives your group room to spread out, reconnect and play in every season. The home sits on 40 private wooded acres crossed by three scenic streams, with trails to explore, a streamside firepit for evening stories, and a year-round seven-person hot tub for relaxing under the trees.
Inside, about 3,500 square feet balances together-time with room to recharge. Share meals from the spacious kitchen and dining area, warm up by the real wood-burning stove, stream on Roku-enabled Smart TVs, or settle into the dedicated garage game room for arcade games, ping pong, darts and board games. Gigabit internet service supports streaming and remote work; actual speeds can vary.
HIGHLIGHTS • 40 private wooded acres with trails and three scenic streams • Year-round seven-person hot tub • Streamside firepit and outdoor seating • Dedicated garage game room with arcade games, ping pong, darts and board games • Spacious kitchen and group dining area • Roku-enabled Smart TVs and Gigabit internet service • Children’s playground • Parking for multiple vehicles and trailers • Up to two dogs under 50 lb welcome with a $150 fee per dog • ATVs, side-by-sides and dirt bikes permitted on the property’s private trails
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The home sleeps up to 16 guests, with a maximum of 10 adults, across four bedrooms plus a queen sleeper sofa: • Upstairs bedroom: one king bed • Upstairs bedroom: two queen beds • Upstairs kids’ room: two twin-over-twin bunk beds plus two twin trundles, sleeping six children • Downstairs bedroom: one queen bed • Living area: one queen sleeper sofa • 2.5 bathrooms
EXPLORE, PLAY AND UNWIND Walk the private wooded trails, watch the streams, soak in the hot tub, or bring your permitted ORVs for careful low-speed riding on the property. Off the property, Allegan County offers lakeshore towns, parks, breweries, wineries and seasonal events. Guests planning road-based ORV outings should check the current Allegan County Road Commission map and local restrictions before riding.
GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING • The garage is a game room only; vehicles cannot be parked inside. • There is no outdoor dining setup. • Guests provide their own firewood and charcoal. • The streams are scenic only—no fishing, swimming or other stream recreation. • Use reasonable low speeds on the wooded trails. ORV riding and other outdoor noise must stop after 9 p.m. • No hunting, parties, events or smoking. • This is a large wooded property, so insects and wildlife are part of the setting. Close doors promptly and supervise children around the streams, hot tub, playground and trails. • Two exterior Ring cameras remain active during stays and are triggered only by outdoor movement. They record video and audio when triggered. One deck-mounted camera views the driveway; one front-door camera views the door and adjacent front deck, away from the hot tub.
Come for the privacy and outdoor space; stay for the easy mix of hot-tub evenings, game-room competition and wooded Michigan adventure.

What can I say, the property was amazing, everything was as described or better. Tranquility, calmness, nature, and privacy is what you should expect. Will definitely be back!
Total Privacy, room to run and complete relaxation. We saw shooting stars, caught frogs, toads and salamanders and completely unplugged from work. It was great. Would definitely come again!
This house and property are beautiful!! The beds were quite comfortable and the showers are fabulous!! There is definitely enough space in this house to have a very large family get together. My only complaint, and it’s not a big one, is that the furniture ie; couches, chairs both living room and the metal chairs are not comfortable at all. Overall though, myself and my family were extremely happy with our stay. The very open communication with the owners was a huge plus!

Thanks, Stacy! We’re glad your family enjoyed the space, beds, showers and communication. I’m sorry some of the seating wasn’t comfortable; we’re reviewing the couches and chairs as we plan updates. We appreciate the helpful feedback and would love to host you again.
Amazing house with plenty of fun options to keep everyone busy. The host is very kind and responds promptly. There is so much space and so incredibly peaceful. I wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the fire pit and theater room. Don’t hesitate… it is the best destination for your next get away.
My family really enjoyed our stay at the Hopkins Hideaway. It was a great space for all ages. The little kids had plenty of places to play indoors and we enjoyed walking on the trail in the woods outdoors as well. We enjoyed the arcade games and ping pong in the evening, as well as just cooking meals and gathering in the kitchen area. Beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub in the cool evenings and making a campfire. It was a great space for our whole family to be together and I would highly recommend it!

This property was amazing! We had a family/group of 12 consisting of 6 kids and it was the perfect environment for us all. The kids enjoyed all the games and we all were able to unwind & enjoy each others company. Perfect for large families, smart tvs in every room. Will definitely be back!!
The hosts were very responsive with any issues. Once you look past the obvious things that raise concerns with the property it's obvious that the hosts have provided for a comfortable stay for their guest's. Nice kitchen and very well stocked with utensils and space for everyone. Beds are all memory foam and very comfortable. Plenty of linens, hot water and good heat. We enjoyed several long walks along the trail. Quiet, secluded. Overall a very good stay.
The hosts were excellent to work with and the property was tranquil with plenty of room in the house to spread out and enjoy a relaxing long weekend. The kitchen provided a fantastic common area and the wood burning stove brought a warm and cozy atmosphere perfect for conversations, mid day napping, or a quiet spot to read. Outside the pottery is secluded from neighbors with swaying tall trees, a gentle stream, and an excellent hot tub. The property had everything we needed to make a family vacation we will fondly remember.

Overall great!
I reached out about an issue (two separate emails and never heard back). We just made due.
My VRBO app kicked me out or I would have reached out the way we had contected previously.
Beautiful, secluded property in the woods with plenty of room for us, our adult children and our grandkids to relax, play games together, enjoy the hot tub, swing set and sleep! Very peaceful getaway!
