This property was so bad we were unable to stay out length of the rental. The cabin has a very disgusting smell, the porch does not have a welcoming feel that I would want to sit out on, the arcade games don’t work. I would not recommend this cabin.

Everything was as described, the only thing off was the arcade was inoperable when we arrived but during our stay the host had the power cord replaced. My children were very appreciative. Wildlife was plenty! 5 minutes into our stay there was literally a bear on our front porch. And on day 3 one sauntered on the deck next to the hot tub. Take precautions regarding food and I wouldn’t leave children unattended outside for that reason.

There were issues when we got in. The carbon monoxide monitor needed batteries and had to be disengaged. The screen on the porch door was gone. The door to the crawlspace was broken and wouldn't close so a bear went in there on the second day and made a racket. That is not safe. We had two bears come to the cabin. The driveway needs work and getting down it was a bit of a challenge. The steps to the porch were not to code and somewhat dangerous for older folks like us to walk up. It was cozy, but needs attention.

We’ve notified our maintenance and safety team to replace/inspect the carbon monoxide monitor, repair or replace the porch screen, and fix and secure the crawlspace door so wildlife cannot enter. The driveway and porch steps have been scheduled for assessment and repairs, and we’ll update the listing to warn guests about the driveway condition and steps for those with limited mobility. The cabin needs a lot of improvements. Several boards need replaced. Some lights didn’t work. The arcade game cord was severed and sparking. The upstairs has a musky, damp smell. It wasn’t bad and my family was fine staying there, but the place definitely needs work. We have stayed in probably 6 other places in the Smokies in a similar price range and this place was in the worst shape.

We really enjoyed our stay here! My 2 kids enjoyed the loft with the arcade games and having their own space. We saw a mama bear and her 2 cubs the first night when she came down to the porch which was awesome. Definitely will stay here again!
