This place was great! Perfect for our family of 8. It was close to the beach and we could see all of the sights on Dauphin Island. Highly recommend this place.

Very enjoyable long weekend

Attractive new beach house in quiet, yet convenient area of Dauphin Island. Great decor and all the amenities provided. I'm in love with the showerhead in the master bathroom!! Great street for walking the dog. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again.

Cozy on Chammout

Such a cozy place to stay while on the Island. There are restaurants that are within walking distance and we loved using the bicycles to ride to the beach. The kids had fun with the loft area. We broke in the kitchen appliances and cooked up a delicious birthday feast. Alan, the host, was the greatest! He has thought of everything and when we needed him, he was easy to get a hold of. Definitely recommend spending time at Blue Wahoo.

Blue Wahoo

The Blue Wahoo as it's referred to by the owner Mr. Duncan is a wonderful place to stay on Dauphin Island. It is a very quiet location if your looking for peace and quite away from the hustle and bustle of life. The cottage is conveniently located within walking distance of restaurant and shopping. If you need to go a bit further Mr. Duncan does supply a couple nice beach cruiser bikes, so no need to drive your vehicle. Overall I would give this cottage 10 stars and will be staying here when available during our visits to Dauphin Island.

Lucky to have gotten this booking

Alan's place was just as described. It is not only newly constructed, if is very well designed. Spacious kitchen and a bathroom for each bedroom. Nice deck and a quiet street. Especially appreciated the covered parking and ability to bring our dog. Although rental prices on the island are high this time of year, we were attracted to begin with by the lower than average rate. And it is always nice when the host is quick to respond to any questions or requests, which Alan did every time.
