Note: As I do with all my rentals, I have personally stayed at this property 6 or 7 times, before listing it, and have walked back and forth to the stockyards everytime....during the daytime, early evening, and late night coming
back. I have walked by myself and with others. In my experience, I can tell you that its an easy, and safe walk, with street lights. However, if you don't care to hoof it for 1/2 mile, a $6-7 Uber ride will get you there in 5-minutes

Our host was incredibly attentive, and the house was spotless. Truly, a comfortable place to stay. While the neighborhood looked a little rough around the edges, we never once felt unsafe even coming back late in the evening. Plus getting to the stockyards was a breeze, and the Uber ride was surprisingly affordable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Although the Lee house is about 3/4 mile to Billy Bobs, and is walkable (safely, and well lit), we do recommend in the listing to take a $5-6 Uber, since the walk is across a couple of high traffic roads. The entire Stockyards neighborhood are almost all older homes, some well maintained, some not as much, with a diverse, working class family neighborhood, As such, some folks mistakenly classify these characteristics.....out of hand, as "non-conducive to walking". I have stayed at this property a dozen times, myself, (as i do with all my properties, before making them available to guests) and have never had any issues, walking back and forth...daytime or at night. Nevertheless, we're glad you enjoyed your stay!

as mentioned in several spots in our listing, it is a typical Fort Worth stockyards working class neighborhood. Many older homes, most well-kept, some new renovations (such as ours), and some not as much. Ethnically diverse neighborhood. Some people will call this sketchy. I do not. If you’ve not been to the stockyards before, this is what it is.. Older, yet safe.

Quaint House close to the Stockyards

A little concerned with the neighborhood when we drove up, but it was such a cute and quaint house and with the yard completely gated, felt completely safe throughout the stay and LOVED the little home. Decorating was great! The vicinity of the house to the Stockyards was wonderful - not really walkable, but a very short 4 min drive. It was a PERFECT place for us to stay for my Husband's Navy Retirement!

This home was fantastic. The home was very comfortable and accommodating. The check-in process was very simple, and the owner provided thorough instructions for check-in and check-out procedures. The location was convenient. My friends and I elected to uber to our destinations, but you could very reasonably walk to the Stockyards with little difficulty. Overall, when I return to Fort Worth, this will be my choice of stay in the future.

The house was great and just as pictured. We had a great stay in Fort Worth for my daughter's parents weekend at TCU. The only downfall about the property is the surrounding area is a little sketchy. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The owner was very easy to work with and responded quickly to my questions. :)

Best vacation house ever

My entire family including my spouse, sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren had a grand plan of traveling together to Fort Worth for the first joint vacation in 22 years. My granddaughter spotted this house and it was perfect for the 8 of us. I always travel with disinfectant, lysol wipes, etc. but I certainly didn't need to in this case. The house was immaculate and set up nicely for everyone to have their own private spaces yet the living room and kitchen were perfect for our midnight chats, too! There is a park a few blocks away and the weather was nice enough to walk down and through the park on their paved trail. It was a short drive to everywhere whether it was going to the Stockyards or Dickie's Arena for the rodeo. I sent a few emails to the host, David, with some questions and he was super responsive each time. If/when we come again, we will be sure to book directly with him at stockyards rentals.com
