About this property
Quiet, private casita on lovely property-5 min walk from town and main beach
The Casitas at Casa Colibri is located in a safe and quiet residential neighborhood, on a quaint cobblestoned road, 5 minutes from the center of town and the main beach. The entire property is completely walled with a street-level entry gate with coded keypad. It has been lovingly landscaped and is immaculately maintained and offers a peaceful retreat for guests. It boasts established trees, flowering bushes, and a wide variety of tropical plants, all attracting many different butterflies, birds, and hummingbirds throughout. The pool area is a common area for guests, has a bay view, is surrounded by beautiful gardens, and has a dining table, chaise lounge chairs, and BBQ. The property offers guests a peaceful retreat yet is close to all the fun Sayulita has to offer. There are three separate guest casitas on the property, each situated and designed with privacy as a priority. Tres Palmas has its own private entrance and patio with dining for four and is surrounded by our landscaped gardens. It is just steps from the pool which opens to a beautiful view of Sayulita's bay. The casita is a short walkway up from the entry on our cobblestone road. It is tasteful and authentic with stone, tile, and brickwork throughout. Enjoy tasteful décor collected from our travels throughout Mexico, colorful tile and art, and comfortable furnishings. The casita offers all the amenities to make your vacation easy and relaxing. The bedroom has a comfy queen size bed with pillow-top mattress, 100% cotton linens, and air conditioning. The bathroom is spacious with a large walk-in shower. The open concept living room/kitchen opens to the terrace and the pool just steps away. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size fridge and stove, microwave, appliances, cookware, cooking utensils, and everything else you need to prepare a fabulous meal or to have a chef come in and prepare one for you. We have a housekeeper here 3-4 days a week to keep your casita fresh and tidy. There is a propane bbq on the pool deck where you can relax with a margarita, grill your fresh catch of the day, take in the beautiful ocean view, and watch the sunset.

Loved our little casita. Had everything we needed for cooking at home. Raefiala kept everything spotless. The pool area is small but refreshing after a long hike. Beach is a short walk away downhill. Joan and Dave are wonderful hosts.
The pool was refreshing and clean. The patio was clean, chairs to lounge table to sit eat or work. The hosts were very accommodating, the place was very clean, the location was close to everything. This place had it all. The entire stay was perfect!!
Joan and Dave are amazing hosts! The property is pristine! So private yet so close to everything. The pool area was beautiful. We will be back! It is the perfect property to bring the family! Thank you Joan and Dave for sharing your special piece of paradise!

Thank you Kristi and Paul! We look forward to seeing you here again with your family :))
Tres Palmas is ideally located - near downtown and beaches, but out of the crowds and noise. Joan and Dave are welcoming and knowledgeable hosts, and we found them truly enjoyable. The pool is a huge asset, and we used it constantly after a day at the beach. The casa provides everything one could need, and the bed is very comfortable. Having regular housekeeping is a real plus, as w. We will return!
Came to Sayulita for a family wedding, We loved staying at the Casita... full of cultural charm, close to everything, exactly what we hoped for. We loved cruising into the town to shop, experience the local nightlife, and relax on the beach...great place to stay and make beautiful memories. Joan/David are super hospitable and provided everything for a great vacation. Definitely planning to return.

Thanks Robert! We would love to have you both back :))
Delightful garden casita, set among fabulous tropical foliage. Great layout, both inside the unit and common grounds outside. Besides all of that, Dave, the owner and his daughter were salt-of-the-earth folks. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at this little gem on the fringes of the village!

Thanks David! We enjoyed meeting you both and hope to see you here again.
The property was furnished with authentic Mexican artifacts and was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were onsite and very helpful with local information about the town. The only drawback was that the walk to town was uncomfortable due to my bum knee, but we easily took a short taxi ride to go back to our casita. We would definitely go back again.
The property is beautifully designed with loads of attention to details. Lots of charming Mexican touches through, along with all of the functional necessities for cooking and staying comfortable, a beautiful and quiet rooftop pool, and a nice little private balcony. The location is a very comfortable walking distance to town and just far enough out of the core to be nice and quiet. A perfect little find!

This is not your average busy, noisy resort stay. We were looking for a more intimate relaxing stay and Joan & Dave's place is just that. The place itself is a beachy, tropical vibe not too big not to small. Besides the place Joan & Dave helped us out of a bind without hesitation. You don't come across too many nice, genuine people now a days. Thank you so much guys your gesture turned a potential disaster into nothing at all.. Lord take care of them always!

Thank you Joe! You were lovely guests and we were happy to accommodate :)) Hope to see you both down here again!
My husband and I had the best time in Sayulita and very much enjoyed staying at this beautiful and well decorated vacation spot! The grounds are well kept with everything we needed. We enjoyed the patio for morning coffee and the top deck pool and barbecue area. I also enjoyed the peaceful time sitting in the hammock over the pool. The unit is well decorated with authentic Mexican charm and very comfortable.
This place is an easy walk into town, although we rented a golf cart for the week. We were appreciative of a place to charge the golf cart in front of the property.
Dave and Joan were awesome hosts! We can’t say anything negative about them. They take pride in their property and made us feel welcome and comfortable.
I wish our vacation didn’t end! If we ever go back to Sayulita, we would definitely stay here again! Thank you Dave and Joan. We had the best time. You both were awesome and definitely some of the best VRBO hosts we’ve met.

We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us :)) Thank you for your kind words, we truly appreciate them!
Perfect for one or two. Filtered water and coffee waiting! Close to town but steps and two hills were challenging for me and my knees! Lovely roof top small pool with ocean view. Hosts were fantastic and responsive when I had trouble with the door. My only complaint was when large ants descended into the kitchen, host asked me to spray with windex. Unfortunately, then it gets all over your dishes. On the third night I opened the dresser and a large roach crawled out from my clothes. Hosts informed they regularly spray and that bugs were just part of the environment there. I get that, but having a large roach
crawl in my clothes is not my thing. My daughter rented a 2 bedroom place down the street, across from YaYas restaurant, paid less, and had a lovely big balcony.

Hi Victoria, we’re sorry you encountered ants on your kitchen counter. We spray the property on a regular basis but because we are under a jungle canopy they sometimes manage to sneak through here and there. We tell guests to be careful not to leave food out on the counter but if they see any ants, Windex does the trick. We’re also sorry for your roach sighting. They are a rare occurrence on the property, but we remain vigilant in our pest control efforts to prevent such incidents.
Sayulita can be tricky for visitors with mobility issues. The cobblestone streets and hilly terrain can be challenging. The walk from our property to town and the beach is relatively flat except for the incline at the last half block to our front gate. A golf cart or scooter is a great solution.
Fortunately, Sayulita offers a variety of rental properties, from modern condo complexes to casitas in a jungle setting. There is something for every taste, preference, and budget, ensuring that visitors can find accommodations that best suit their needs.
