Welcome to your Wanderland playground where "not all who wander are lost". Wanderland is located in a remote mountain area at ~7,500 ft elevation. Our home is great for families featuring 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with access to Four Mile Creek (trout stream) and five acres to roam, hike and climb. If the weather takes you inside, we have an 1100 sf great room with a pool table, dartboard, foosball table, shuffle board, dry bar, a 75 in TV and huge windows overlooking panoramic mountain views. Two additional living areas offer cozy places to sit and read or enjoy some much needed quiet time.
The house features a well-equipped gourmet kitchen, including a Keurig with coffee pods and a coffee pot, two dining areas with seating for 4 and seating for 8. Relax in a beautiful, comfortable living room with mountain views and a wood burning fireplace. A cozy family room for nights in front of the TV is also an option. And of course, there's the GREAT room with lots of games to enjoy with your family.
The upstairs master bedroom has a king bed, an ensuite, walk-in closet and balcony overlooking the mountains and trout stream. Upstairs also features a full secondary bathroom, a second bedroom with a comfy queen bed, an office with a designated work space for your work-from-home needs and a daybed, and a fourth bedroom boasts a queen/twin bunk bed.
Other amenities include free WiFi (speeds vary through the day), Roku TVs, a full-size washer/dryer, hair dryers, iron/ironing board, propane grill, complimentary toiletries, linens/towels, trash bags/paper towels/napkins, limited spices and condiments.
Please be aware that there is little to no cell signal in this area. After you have connected to our WiFi then you can call and text as usual. We highly recommend you download directions to your phone or print out a hard copy prior to your trip.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• Wanderland is surrounded by nature. Being surrounded by 1000s of acres (public lands) of nature means there are going to be bugs and wildlife. We have heard reports of bear, mountain lion and deer around the area. Small children should be supervised at all times while outside. Do not leave food ourside or in your vehicles. We assume no responsibility for wildlife in the area. While our home is cleaned thoroughly between each guest, you may still find an occasional spider or bug during your stay.
• The nearest convenient store is Evergreen Station, a 15-minute drive from the property. It is well stocked for essentials but you may want to get your grocery items in larger cities such as Woodland Park, Divide or Canon City.
• There are steps leading into the house, inside the house and down to the trout stream. Please use caution traversing down to the trout stream as the steps are uneven with loose gravel. It can become slippery when wet. We advise to take it slow and use the rope to assist with your balance if required. Small children need to be supervised going up and down the steps.
• There is no AC but temperatures rarely get warm enough in the mountains to need one. There are ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms and the great room.
• For your security there is one camera on the exterior of the home facing the front entrance. It does not access any interior areas.

When we booked this location, we knew we would be very content staying here. Upon arrival and for the duration of our stay, we were absolutely awestruck. From the amazing views, space for activities, and the ability to do many things that didn’t involve technology was way more than we anticipated! Would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved this property! It was great for a group with kids and the property was breathtaking. The only downside was the size of the bathroom on the second floor, given we had six people sharing that space, but we made it work. Overall, the experience was fabulous. The sound of the creek in the background during morning coffee around the fire-pit and cocktails on the deck made things extra
This property was amazing on all levels! The kids loved the game area, the creek and the mountain! It was a dream vacation that Trixie and James made possible! They were also incredibly thoughtful and messaged about WiFi (which was fine) and a rain storm that came through the day before. Couldn’t have asked for better and hoping they will have us again in the years to come!

This property was an excellent experience. Thre were 6 adults staying here and there was plenty of room. Tge setting was phenomenal with the river in front and the cliff in back. The great room was a great area for us to relax at night and lkay pool or shuffle boar. The kitchen was well stocked and sufficient enough for us to prepare breakfadt and supper every night. It was definitely well worth what we paid

Hi Paul we very much appreciate your review and kind words. We indeed enjoyed having your family as guests and would welcome you back anytime. Our property managers feedback to us was the house was left in immaculate condition. Thanks so much for staying with us!

We had a great time at this house. The home was cleaner than any VRBO I've ever been in! The owner seemed to have thought of everything. Beds/bedding was comfy! I always regret not bringing my pillow from home, but that wasn't even needed. The outdoor space was great. The three mile drive on the road to the house was rough, but we enjoyed being "in the middle of no where." I'd highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone that isn't afraid to drive a bit out of the way.
This property was perfect for our group - definitely family friendly. There was so much space to hang out inside and outside and so much to explore outside! The game room was a huge hit with our group and was so fun for all ages (toddler to grandparent). Everything was very clean, and communication with the host was clear and timely. We loved our time at Wanderland!
