Terrible smell, AC problems, etc.

We actually loved this four-bedroom home which accommodated our family very well. It has a great floor plan and comfortable beds. We also liked the location as well, so those are the positives! Unfortunately, the AC cannot keep up in this house in the hot afternoon. They had to bring us a portable window unit which did help somewhat. The big problem at this house is the horrific smell coming from the utility room. The staff sent a plumber out and it was discovered that the system was vented wrong and would require the wall being opened up for it to be re-plumbed. Of course they didn’t want to do that while we were there, so the smell was absolutely horrible. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was in the utility room, so we would run and grab things and hold our noses while we got things from the fridge and brought them into the kitchen. It was a shame because we really liked the house but the smell was overwhelming. I hope the owners will get this fixed for the next family. There also were ants and roaches in the kitchen at night. I know this can easily be corrected with an exterminator. As I said, it’s really a great house but unfortunately, we had about five days of living with a really bad smell.
