About this property
Private Caribbean Retreat
MOMENTS
Moments is not your typical vacation resort. Nestled in the hills of Scarborough, Tobago, situated northeast of its twin island Trinidad, this beautifully appointed villa offers you a home away from home on this small lush Caribbean island replete with rainforests, waterfalls and pristine beaches. Tobago is not your usual touristy island. Tourism does not feel imposed on this country; the island is beautifully defined by its unique local life.
Come here to relax, replenish or rejuvenate. Come with your spouse or partner to rekindle a romance. Come to start, finish or edit your book. (contact us ref. writers packages). Moments features two elegant bedroom suites, each with a private master bath and gorgeous ocean views. You will find a fully appointed kitchen with dining sitting areas that open to a semi-circular porch for sitting, reading or just gazing at the vast ocean view. For guests seeking to reserve both bedrooms the rate is $150 per night. Please contact the owner directly for other longer term rates.
Two steps down and you are in the whirlpool for a soothing water massage under the sun or the moon or in the pool for an invigorating or relaxing swim. Moments surrounds you in tranquility and natural beauty day and night. Moments is close to many open stretches of beach, however, it is recommended that you plan to rent a car or hire a driver for the length of your stay or for day trips. 'Tranquility'-
Tobago is luxuriantly forested with an abundant water supply and mountainous terrain marked by waterfalls and mountain pools along the courses of its many small rivers. Protecting Tobago's coastline is mile after mile of coral reef harbouring a wide variety of marine life which feeds on the fertile convergence of two seas. The mean annual temperature is 32 degrees C (89 degrees F) with an average rainfall of 200 cm (40 inches). Dry season is from January to May and wet season from June to December. Significantly, Tobago is outside of the hurricane belt.

About the host
Hosted by K. Brisbane

I lived in Tobago for 5 years after building the house. I found the island beautiful in the most natural way. I love water and am very athletic which made Tobago the perfect island for me. I love the sunrise and sunset, the sound of water and the constant beatuty that surrounds the island. I left a very intense job and was only able to relax and regroup after moving to Tobago. I have returned to my home in the US but still miss Tobago and the friends I have there.
Why they chose this property
We chose to build in this location because of the weather and being outside the hurricane belt. The property is on a hillside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with a magnificent view up the island and a wide angle view of the rainforest and a view of the northern coast of Trinidad. The trade winds provide natural and constant breezes and the waters surrounding the island are wonderfully clean and refreshing.
What makes this property unique
We are a short walk to 2 beaches and 3-minute drive to town. It is quiet, private and secure. You can choose to be in the mix of traffic and activity by going 1 mile into town or remain at home, lounging on the decks, swimming in the pool or just gazing out into the azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Property manager is available 24/7 to guests.
