Overall the location and layout of this place was amazing! Will definitely recommend to friends. Only complaint was that the couch needed to be replaced, and the kitchen cookware/utensils could use an upgrade.
We loved our floating condo stay. The condo was clean, comfortable and cozy. The sunrises were spectacular and it was relaxing to watch the changes in the tide and comings and goings of different sea birds. Harold was an excellent host and provided such helpful detailed info about making the most of this unique lodging.excellent host and made
It was just want I wanted and needed; a getaway from work and city life. Seeing the tides roll in twice a day and watching the seaplane tours flying out in different conditions was a nice addition to the property. There are a lot of details to keep in mind on the houseboat, but as long as you take it in stride and go step by step it is a super fun stay.
My daughter and I had a fun stay while visiting with family from out of state whom were staying at a hotel in Sausalito. Quick drive to Sausalito.
Really clean & comfortable .
I would definitly return.
Our stay here was perfection. Harold was so helpful and kind! The house boat was clean, quiet and peaceful. We loved watching the sea planes land and take off! Can't recommend this area and this place more! We will be back!
We had a relaxing stay at this well appointed and clean floating condo. Convenient with new appliances including a washer/dryer in the unit with nice views of Richardson Bay.
It’s also conveniently located near the Larkspur Ferry so that we were able to go to San Francisco to catch a game and not have to deal with San Francisco traffic.
Since it is located on the bay, Harold offered some great advice so that we weren’t trapped by the tide. Definitely worth a return stay!

Thanks, Bret! Glad to hear it worked so well for you. A lot of our guests are appreciative how easy it is to get in and out of San Francisco without having the hassle of traffic and parking. Frequently with their bicycles, too.!
I'm looking forward to your next visit:-)
The condo was exactly as pictured online. The location was great for us - just across the GG bridge and removed from the hustle of San Fransisco, but still close enough and only 5 min from cute Sausalito. Definitely pay attention to what the owner emails about the tides - you can’t gloss over this. Both nights that we came in from dinner the water had flooded the walkway. The owner provides rain boots which we took with us when we left for dinner so it wasn’t an issue. If not, it would have been really uncomfortable wading in above ankle deep cold bay water at night. Also, I will say that if you need a place for more than two nights, this may not be for you. It is small - only the queen bed and love seat for sitting. We were out and about most of the time so it worked great for us.

Dissapointment!!!
This property is NOT in Sausilito. It is in Mill Valley and has no similarity to the ambience of Sausilito. The unit is incredibly small. No room to sit except the very uncomfortable bed, tiny loveseat and two stools.
We were given no info about the tides which would have made us stay until 11 or 11:30 if we had stayed, which we did not.
The location was almost industrial. A HUGE disappointment.Contacted the owner to let them know, but got no help except "hmm".
Commodore 11 is more than place to stay. It's an experience! Whether you're inside, watching the unobstructed Bay views through the long, long windows or outside on the wrap-around deck it never stops changing. Twice each day the tides rise and fall. Birds come and go. The marine air breezes are refreshing and energizing. It's life on the water!
