About this property

Cherokee Hills Lodge

Our rustic farm house/upland lodge sits in the middle of a working cattle ranch in the Cherokee Hills of NE Oklahoma. Come for a weekend in the country with your buddies, bring the kids fishing, or just snuggle up to a camp fire with that special someone and watch the sunset. Far enough out in the country to feel like you're away from it all, but close enough to our little town to grab dinner at the Main Street Diner. Cherokee Hills Lodge is the best weekend getaway within an hour of Tulsa!

Away from it all
Perfect for a group of guys wanting a retreat. Definitely a country getaway with bugs, critters and fish. Emily was the contact rather than David and was easy to communicate with. Getting something lake worthy was a challenge, but that was part of the fun for us. The dock needs serious repair, but we didn't mind. They're working on WiFi though for now, a mobile hotspot is adequate. Overall it was a great time!

Perfect country living!
Huge porch set up was perfect to sit with our coffee & watch the beautiful sunrises; you can see for miles & miles! Tons of room inside & out for both kids & adults. Lots of unique decorations in the home; a well appointed kitchen; extremely comfortable beds & pillows; wide assortment of books & games! Our plans only allowed us 3 (all rainy) days there; so not as much time as we would have liked to get out on the little lake and explore the property but we did get to say Hi to the cows! Hosts responded promptly to our questions/reservation. Great visit!

I grew up on this ranch, but left after school to pursue a career in medicine. I'm an Orthopedic Surgeon now and have and have traveled all over during my training and after, but most of my fondest memories are rooted right here in Chelsea, Oklahoma on the ranch. I hope that you enjoy our home as much as my family and I always have!

Why they chose this property

Relax and unplug when you're here in the country! Bring a fishing pole or use one of ours, play a game of poker in our saloon room, watch an old movie, have a camp fire, or just read a good book in a rocking chair on the back porch overlooking our private lake. We also offer an all-inclusive Orvis-style upland bird hunting package in the fall.

What makes this property unique

Ranch house/upland hunting lodge, completely renovated with top end features, custom furnishings, and all the creature comforts of a modern hotel; but away from the hustle and bustle of the big city!
