Glamping at its best. This lot is at the highest point over looking the lake. This travel trailer sleeps 6. Made for children, the park offers a lake for fishing, boat rentals, beach, swimming pools, game room, mini-golf, kids activities, and more. Air conditioning when it is hot, heat when it is cold, stay dry on a rainy day, inside bathroom. Is this really camping? It is more like Glamour Camping; Glamping. Only 45 minutes from Chicago, and 10 minutes to the Indiana Dunes State Park. (Please note that the park is located between the highway to the north and train to the south, so you will hear both all the time, it is fun but not a quite getaway)

The RV was in a great location. Loved the gazbo and lake view from fire pit. It needed handle bars on the stairs. Neeed some cleaner and smelled of gas. Stove sisnt work. Manger came to make aure we was doing okay. He was nice. Overall a great stay.
We stayed here for July 4th weekend and spend a day at the dunes and one at the resort. The resort is rundown, there are too many golf carts flying through the park kicking up dust from the gravel roads, and everyone was polite until they wanted to defend a old guy when he was caught looking behind a shower curtain when my son’s were showering! They were the only kids in there at the time, until this old man and his dog walked in shortly after. That’s when my husband followed him in and witnessed this. Watch your kids no matter where you go!

Heather and her family left my camper in a good condition, I would have no problem renting to them again. There are a lot of golf carts going by all times of the day and there is too much dust, I agree but I did fully disclose this in my description. I am unaware of the incident in the comfort station with her children, but I agree your children need to be watched anywhere. We have hundreds of visitors every weekend, so there is no telling who is in the park no different that any other public venue.

The property needed to be cleaned up. Poisen ivy along the fenceline. The gazebo was dirty and the owner suggested we be the ones to clean it with his hose. Camper was nice. Slept six but only had utensils for 4. Luckily we brought some. Not enough towels for 5 people. Only 4. Owner said there was a road near the camper it turned out to an Interstate.

The cleanliness of the inside of the camper could be better. The prior renter turned the refrigerator/freezer off. This caused a smell and a puddle of water in the freezer. The 1st 20mins of my vacation was spent cleaning the fridge and freezer. Once this was done we were able to unpack. The camper was more stocked with kitchen appliances which was a nice surprise! The location of the camper was nice as it was shaded and the view of the lake is as described. However, what is not in the listing is that the Interstate is directly behind the camper! So, the pictures look peaceful however it is anything but when you are outside. In fact, I had phone calls I had to take in my car because the background noise was so loud. During the week all the "extras" that the resort has to offer close at 6 pm. We were not able to use any of the pool areas. This was disappointing. The comfort stations were very handy and close to the camper. We did visit the IN dunes this is only about 20 mins away! Nice surprise as well. Overall we give our stay a 7/10 because we believe the camper could have been cleaner when we arrived. I do wish the campgrounds activities would have stayed open later but we made due finding activities and eateries around the area.

There is always room for improvement, I was unaware that the previous tenant turned off the freezer/refrigerator so my apologies for that. Regarding the highway, I do have in my listing details mention of both the highway and train at the park. Please re-read our listing where you will see it detailed.
