This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Liberty University is just 4 miles away. Lynchburg University and Lynchburg General Hospital are less than 10 minutes away. Home is also close to downtown and several excellent restaurants. Tastefully decorated and well-equipped for guests to enjoy. All the charm of its history and all the updates of modern convenience make this place an excellent choice for your stay.

Please note: This home is just off Bus 29 and is in the outskirts of downtown Lynchburg. Downtown Lynchburg is home to much history and industry. Much of the area is in the process of being revitalized. Many homes are recently updated, in the process of being updated, or in need of being updated. As this property is in Lynchburg city, parking is on street (free). The speed limit on the street is 25 mph, however, we cannot control those who do not obey the speed limit. We have provided a small space off street, however, it is a bit steep, and not all guests feel comfortable using it.

Quick stay

Lovely home, easy access to everything. Iappreciated knowing this home is in an up and coming neighborhood. It is rough, but never felt unsafe. We'd stay again.

Weekend in Lynchburg

The property matches the listing. Nicely furnished, clean with plenty of space. Had all the things we needed. The bathroom is small and be careful not to hit you ankles on the shower frame. The only thing that was inconvenient was the heating system. If you visit during the cold months take your slippers and warm fuzzies.

Convenient Location

This was the perfect place for a quick long weekend in Lynchburg! The house was clean and newly renovated—great kitchen and living space and cozy backyard (unfortunately it was a rainy and windy weekend)! Appreciated the location for easy access to the highway for running errands and visiting friends.

This property was very clean and ready for us upon arrival. Basic necessities were provided. The surrounding neighborhood is not well taken care of, but we had no issues while staying.

So cute and updated! Very comfortable and clean. Plenty of kitchen and bath essentials plus some nice treats. A minor issue with air conditioner but owner was quick to respond and was sweet and accommodating! Even though a bit rougher neighborhood, felt safe and next door neighbor was so nice! Would stay again.

Nice home

As described, it doesn’t seem like the best area, but the house is super well maintained and we felt safe with outside security cameras and doors locked. The one set of neighbors was friendly and we had everything we needed. Thank you for letting us use your home.

Comfortable and cozy

This property was a great find in downtown Lynchburg. The house was very clean with thoughtful touches to increase the comfort of staying there. The bedrooms were a great size for us, and while we didn't use the kitchen beyond popcorn and coffee, the full size oven/range and open kitchen would have made it very comfortable.

The house was clean, not in a good neighborhood. We would not stay here again. The stairs are very steep, the top of the landing is on a slant. Bathroom very small! The bed was comfortable. Very load road outside and loud machinery across the street.

Graceful Getaway is the Perfect Description!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Lynchburg! The home was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed for our stay and more. It felt like being at a Bed and Breakfast ❤️ so many details included - coffee, tea, granola bars, cooking spray, extra towels & washcloths, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, etc. It really felt like a home away from home! Loved the backyard with the fire-pit too. The house was in a bit of a rougher part of town, but neighbors on the street were very friendly. The location is close to downtown with lots of great restaurants and only 10 mins from Liberty University. If we go back to Lynchburg we would love to stay again!

Cozy getaway

We enjoyed our time at the Graceful Getaway! The home was nicely renovated, bright, and had a pleasant feel to it. We had everything we needed there to make our stay comfortable. The location was within a short drive of downtown and the highway, so we were quickly able to drive around town from there. Jennifer responded promptly to questions we had related to our stay. The driveway was a little steep, as noted, so we opted for parking on the street, which ended up working fine for us.

Pleasant and Perfect for us!

We had a great stay here visiting Liberty University for a long weekend. My husband and I stayed with our daughter. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. We appreciated the snacks and coffee/tea set out for us and the comfy king size bed. We also liked the living area for watching tv/ reading. The bathroom is small but sufficient. The offstreet parking spot is small and steep as described - we were able to get our jeep in, but usually parked on the street just fine. The host also left great recommendations for restaurants in the area which was very helpful. It was the little touches of thoughtfulness that made this stay pleasant and perfect for us.

Good place to hang out a couple of days

It’s an old neighborhood but don’t let that deter you. Revitalization efforts are apparent. House & yard are well kept & clean, back sitting area, fire ring & dog bowls were a wonderful touch. The neighbors on both sides are nice too. They stay to theirselves but will talk to you if you talk to them. There is/was also deer in the neighborhood which was surprising given it’s so close to the city. One was in the backyard this morning! Not sure who was more startled, it or me! The only improvement I would suggest is a bit better stocked kitchen. I’ve stayed in a lot of VRBO/Air B&Bs and must say, this one had the least amount of cookware, staples (aluminum foil/plastic wrap/mixing bowls/colander/can opener/etc). It does have a can opener now though! I saw a few people post about the driveway and the description says it’s too steep for some people’s comfort, however, I drove a regular sedan and didn’t find it to be an issue. Street parking was not an issue either. I would stay again given the opportunity.

Don’t recommend

Inside, this home was beautifully decorated. The host even left popcorn and oatmeal packets. However, we would not stay here again and would not recommend. It is in a very unsafe neighborhood. We made sure to be back to the house every night before dark and didn’t leave until it was light outside. Cars speed down the street and don’t care if you’re crossing the street, it seemed to have a drug deal in one of the house next to it. A house next door had music thumping all night long and even with a white noise machine it was like being in a concert. The parking was terrible. There is a little parking spot next to the house but it is so narrow I don’t know how you could park a car there. We tried to pull into it and it was so steep that it scratched our bumper and tailpipe. Kitchen has very minimal items. Bathroom is so small I cut my back on the bathroom sick turning around between the shower and toilet. For safety alone, I would not recommend this property.

Living it up in Lynchburg

We absolutely love this property everything you could want was at your fingertips. We loved house decorated. We loved how she supplied it with all the essentials that you would need. Jennifer is an excellent host. She was right there when we needed her if we had any questions or anything she was right there we already told her we wanna come back for Christmas. We really really enjoyed ourselves and we are avid VRBO people I already recommended her to some of my friends back here in Florida. I loved how she coordinated all of her colors to match. She’s an excellent decorator. I love the back area where she has a place to sit and enjoy the back porch, and she had all kind of beautiful decorations in the backyard is she she’s close to everything and Lynchburg everything was easy to get to she had to directions and what places to go see what restaurants to frequent so it’s a really great a few are coming there and possibly you need to stay there while your child is in college or you’re visiting relatives. My mom happens to be in a facility there so it worked out perfect for us and I have family members that live in Lynchburg also so really was nice , I loved it. It had a full kitchen with a dishwasher. I loved that she had a washer and dryer that made it so convenient you couldn’t ask for anything more. Everything was at your fingertips. Thank you so much Jennifer and will definitely be back.

Liberty Parent

Stayed a few days visiting my daughter in college. The home was very comfortable and conveniently located. We even had her roommates over and made smores over the fit pit in the back yard.

My youngest daughter is heading to Liberty University and I wanted to invest in the area to help meet a need among other parents, families and students traveling to Lynchburg and hopefully expand my market as time passes. My goal as a host is to create a place that I would want to stay in as a guest and exceed the expectations of all my guests.

Why they chose this property

I chose this property to help fill a need in the area for the college families, traveling nurses and business executives. I love that it is close to all the history of downtown, yet close to all the colleges, hospitals and shopping that Lynchburg has to offer!

What makes this property unique

I highly recommend visiting some of the many amazing dining options in the downtown area! We have yet to find one that we do not enjoy! A list is available for you during your stay.
