This was the coziest cabin and perfect for two people. We enjoyed the canoes and catching a few fish. Would definitely come back again. The hosts were wonderful and very quick to respond to questions. The golf cart is a must if you’re staying on the property.

The tiny cabin was very nice. Right on the bayou just off the main water way. The trails are great for walking or riding the golf cart that’s available for rent. The hosts are very gracious and available if anything is needed. Quiet and peaceful. A great, secluded getaway!

Perfect place to getaway!

My husband and I were looking for a short local getaway, and the Tiny Cabin was the perfect place! The cabin is cozy and and right on the water. We enjoyed the quietness and listening to nature. There were plenty of trails we could walk as well. We are already planning our next trip back. Thank you Bill & Karen!

Anniversary Trip

The Tiny Cabin is nestled in just the right spot! The landscape was so beautiful. My husband enjoyed canoe, fishing. I loved riding the trails on the golf cart and visiting the beach, the deer, and the neighbors! We are already planning another trip, but this time we need the log cabin… we plan to bring my parents and our children/grandchildren along with us.

The ease and seclusion we wanted

This cozy tiny cabin was just what my wife and I needed for our late summer getaway. The cabin and secluded surrounding property had everything we desired. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the screened-in porch with our morning coffee and during the evening summer rain showers. We also enjoyed the hiking trails and canoeing on the canal. Thank you, Bill, for being such a gracious host.

A quick getaway

Upon arrival, the owners met me and helped with the check in process. The next day I was given a personal tour of the 220 acres. This property offers a chance to get away deep in the woods and waters of Louisiana. Just down the interstate 30 minutes is Slidell Louisiana with many good restaurants. If you’re looking for a place to get away, rest, recharge and unwind this property offers just the right amount of solitude you need.

Perfect!

The tiny cabin was the perfect size for us and our 2 dogs. Plenty of storage and space. Beautifully decorated inside and out. Seating area on the dock became my favorite place to hang out almost instantly. The screened in porch with rockers was great for later in the day when the bugs started coming out. We enjoyed the property and all it had to offer. Feeding the deer was an amazing experience! Bill and Karen are truly living the dream! I would recommend this property to anyone that wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of day to day and relax.

Hidden gem

Nice getaway not far from New Orleans. Description is accurate. Secluded and clean cabin on the water. No highway noise or noise from neighbors. We were there during the week days and rarely even saw a boat on the river. Great place to come for peace and relaxation. Nice screened in porch, swing, and area for camp fire. Free access to canoe and kayaks is great. Be sure to bring bug spray. The horse flies are relentless. Cabin is small so will be tight for anymore than two adults and one or two small children. We plan on coming back.

If you want to get away from the hustle of life, this is the place . The description doesn’t do it justice on the peace you will find here. Some great trails to hike or golf cart . The tiny cabin has all you need from screened in porch to overlooking the canal and hearing and seeing nature all day. It’s truly a get away.

Perfect getaway!

Our stay at the tiny cabin was SPECTACULAR! Bill & Karen have curated a 10/10 experience where you are able to fully unplug from the noise of the world. The canoes and kayaks are such a great bonus! And the trails make for some wonderful nature strolls. Don’t think twice about it- this place is incredibly worthwhile!

Tiny cabin stay

We loved every bit of the property! The tiny cabin was gorgeous! My only tiny complaint is that the bed was not comfortable. But with everything else to the property it really didn’t matter! It was so nice to sit on the dock and drink coffee and green tea and just enjoy the morning! We went fishing at the property too and was able to just relax and slow down, which is so needed these days!

We live on this beautiful secluded property year round. We moved back to the farm in 2018 after raising our four kids in Abita Springs. We are both retired and live in the Lake House on our 10 acre lake with our two dogs, Charlie and Mia, two cats, Wibby and Archie, our 4 chickens and twenty white tailed deer.

Why they chose this property

Our 220 acre paradise adjoins the 36,000+ acre Bogue Chitto Wildlife Refuge and fronts on the Pearl River Navigational Canal. The nearest neighbor is a mile away as the crow flies. We are located at the end of Magee Mahner Road in Pearl River, LA. From mid May to July we have ripe blueberries ready for picking and the deer start having their baby fawns at the same time. We have miles of trails to enjoy for walking, hiking, or birding, along with fishing and hunting on the property during the state seasons. We have an 8 person pontoon fishing boat as well as a golf cart for rental to enhance your use of the property. Swimming and/or a picnic at the beach is always a great activity. Sunrise at the Point is another enjoyable event.

What makes this property unique

Booking a minimum of four nights gets you a sunset cruise on the canal, a bottle of wine, and a blueberry dessert during your stay. Check out our reviews at property number 1427474
