The winding mountain road heading up to the Copper Cabin is just a quick short drive up the hill. It does have a couple steeper sections but the asphalt is gnarled and grippy, we've found that second gear is perfect for going up and down the hill at a comfortable managable speed. After driving this once it's super quick and easy going up and down for outings!
Please note: although not too common, due to lower elevation, there is a chance of light snow and the potential for ice in the winter. Although we've never had any issues getting up and down the driveway we can't control mother nature. Please use your discretion and take necessary precautions such as AWD or 4WD or possibly just waiting for the road to warm up a bit before driving up or down.
We want your stay to be a 5 star experience and are available via direct message on the platform. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Located just off Wears Valley Rd, the Copper Cabin is situated on a quiet mountain road with three other cabins. It is just off the beaten path with easy access to the surrounding areas.
