L.J.’s Hideaway offers a serene and secluded setting for your family, nestled in the tranquil neighborhood of Mossy Oaks. This two-bedroom, one-bathroom home on a spacious half-acre lot sits on a quiet dead-end street, providing the perfect retreat. Conveniently located just minutes from historic downtown Beaufort, and within walking distance of the Spanish Moss biking/hiking trail and Beaufort Memorial Hospital, it offers easy access to local attractions. Additionally, it's only 3 miles from the entrance of Parris Island (MCRD) and 22 miles to Hunting Island State Park.

The Hideaway is an ideal accommodation for families attending marine graduations. Built in the 1940s, the property is surrounded by mature trees, including majestic live oaks draped in Spanish moss, creating a serene atmosphere. Enjoy restful nights on brand new Nectar mattresses provided in all rooms. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, walk-in closet, dresser, flat-screen TV, and a pack n play for added convenience. The second bedroom offers two twin-size beds, a dresser, and another walk-in closet.

The home boasts a spacious living area with a 55” smart TV, a separate dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen for all your culinary needs. There's also a laundry room with a washer and dryer, as well as an exercise bike for staying active during your stay. Outside, unwind under the shade of the live oak trees, relax by the fire pit, or enjoy a cookout on the grill, making the backyard a delightful space to spend time together.

We had a wonderful 4-night stay here while my husband was recovering from surgery. The home was very clean, spacious, and located in a quiet neighborhood, which made it perfect for rest and relaxation. The house has a charming Southern vibe that really adds to the experience.The host was incredibly kind, communicative, and very understanding throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated.There is also so much to explore in Beaufort. We (John and Rachel) stayed here for 11 nights in November of 2026 over Thanksgiving. We absolutely loved our stay. This house felt like home and had everything we needed. Everything from towels, beach chairs and a park pass for our trips to the ocean at Hunting Island to a turkey roasting pan for Thanksgiving. One of the best features of this home is the deep bath tub. Oh my goodness was that nice after long hikes! We would stay here again. Great hosts, great (and very safe) neighborhood, and excellent restful home. Five stars.

We chose to stay in this home for our son’s graduation from USMC boot camp. The house is very cute and cozy and is exceptionally clean. The location is in a nice, residential neighborhood and is a short drive to Parris Island, shops, restaurants and downtown Beaufort. We appreciated the extra touches that showed support to our graduate and our troops. The Spanish Moss Trail is within walking distance and is a great place to walk or ride bikes. Our host, Samantha, was quick to respond to our questions. Overall, this home was great and just as described. Thank you!
