"Summer Breeze, makes me feel fine." Welcome to our lakeside retreat located in a quiet cove of Lake Chatuge. Bring your friends or family and relax at this spacious 3-bedroom 3-bath lake house.
You will find this home conveniently located just 5 minutes from the town of Hiawassee. This stylish and updated home has a spacious living area and kitchen with modern appliances and plenty of natural light. Enjoy lazy days on the extra-large deck complete with a screen porch and a big screen TV to watch your favorite shows. Cook your favorite meal on the gas grill or spend the day out on the lake swimming and fishing and soaking in the sun. Also enjoy the canoe and paddle board that are also included with your stay. Still a little cold outside? Snuggle up inside by the gas fireplace with a good book and a glass of wine, or enjoy a nice fire in the outside firepit and roast hot dogs or marshmallows. This lovely property offers a comfortable and refreshing setting for your vacation stay.

Adventure awaits! Western NC and North GA abound with opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (20-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 35-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina or launch your own from nearby public access. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 5 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (25-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 45-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hungry and thirsty after a day of exploration? Visit the outstanding local restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hayesville and Hiawassee for not-to-be-missed tastes of local flavor.

We love the #lakelife around here as well as the majestic mountains. So much to do and see right in town. We have a handy Welcome Book in the house full of dining options, things to do, shopping, hiking and waterfall trails. Wineries with live music and wine tastings are plentiful. And just a short 25 mile drive to the Bavarian themed town of Helen for tubing or zip lining.

There are several excellent boat rental places in the area! We use Lake Chatuge Marine, Young Harris Water Sports, Boundary Waters... The fellas will help you out! All kinds of water toys too like jet skis, standup paddle boards and kayaks.

Hike or drive to the apex of Bell Mountain, which overlooks Lake Chatuge below and provides picturesque mountain views. Shooting Creek Overlook is breathtaking. Visit Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia. Jackrabbit Mountain and Chatuge Dam. Both Towns County (Hiawassee GA) and Clay County (Hayesville NC) have super parks and beaches. Trailheads of the Appalachian Trail, which spans from Georgia to Maine, are less than 10 miles from this home.

Great house

Had a great time in Hiawassee. The house was perfect for the 7 of us. Plenty of room. The dock was great for my son to dock his boat. The boys enjoyed fishing. Our Thanksgiving was perfect.

Lake Getaway from the Florida heat

Perfect location on the lake with fire pit and canoe and SUP

The house is beautiful and the location was perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed the views from inside the house, as well as using the fire pit and the canoe and the standup paddleboard. The location on the cove was also perfect to minimize boat traffic so we could feel comfortable on the canoe and SUP. The beds are comfortable, and the whole house was immaculate. It was great to have the additional bonus room of one of the upstairs bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms worked out well for situation.

Great get away on Lake Chatuge

It was a great property and we took full advantage of the back porches, fire pit, dock and the canoe!. While we were in the area we visited several wineries and rented a boat for 1/2 day from Boundary Waters. We absolutely recommend this property.
