About this property
Private Berkeley Home • Sunny, Spacious, Central
Wake up in our sunny & spacious home in the famous Poets Corner, w/ all the amenities you need to feel at home! Just a few blocks from gourmet Highwire coffee, delicious Mexican, Persian, & Spanish food, and 15 min walk from the 4th St. shopping district. Just 2 mi from UC Berkeley! Comfortably sleeps 4-6 with 3 bedrooms/2.5 baths, & ample parking on quiet one-way street. Fully stocked kitchen incl. gas range & coffee maker, 2 private decks, and shared patio with gas fire pit and Traeger grill.
The space
The house features two bedrooms upstairs with a shared “Jack and Jill” bathroom and another bedroom/office downstairs with an en suite bathroom. There’s also a half bath near the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked and you should feel free to use any of the cooking supplies. The living room has a flat screen LED tv with all the streaming channels you’d need. The patio space between the two houses is shared. If it’s not occupied, you can feel free to use the space. We just ask that all guests observe our neighborhood quiet hours starting at 9pm.
There is private outdoor space in the back of the airbnb. We frequently use the space in the back of our house in the front (and the front of yours) is available for use upon request from your host.
Guest access
We offer self check in through our detailed instructions and electronic lock system. There’s no need to hang on to a set of physical keys!
There is plenty of street parking. Please note that there is street sweeping, which will require you to move your car. This happens on the first Friday of every month on our side of the street and the second Monday of every month on the opposite side of the street.
Other things to note
This guest house is a standalone home behind our main home. To access the house, you’ll need to walk through the driveway, open the gate, and then walk through our shared back yard.
We’re about 3 houses away from San Pablo Ave, which is a busy street. If you’re on the second floor, you may hear some very low level traffic noise. We have air purifiers, which when turned on, completely mute the traffic noise. Also, there’s an Amtrak train about 0.75 mi away with an incredibly powerful horn. It can also be heard on the second floor from time to time. We used to live in this space and never had any issues with it.
