Inflatable hot tub located on the upper deck with a scenic bayou view. Feel free to fish directly off the deck! (Fishing licenses are available for purchase at nearby Dorian's Landing.)
Kayaks for use during your stay. These do tend to get dirty due to the bayou and also when it rains and dust and debris sticks to them. For this reason, we don't expect guests to keep them pristine. Please enjoy to your hearts content!
Our location is remote, but we are cozy to other houseboats.

Your Host,
STR Property Management

The Summertime: The houseboat is like a tiny home on the water wtih some fun amenities. Definitely a bucket list experience! Please understand that it is more difficult to service due to its more remote location and unique set up. We work diligently to upkeep it. We hope you enjoy the adventure!

NAVIGATION - The Summertime is permanently moored at the dock. In the case that it must be moved, a licensed captain has to be hired. There are two kayaks available to use included in the reservation.

EARLY ARRIVAL - You can request early check-in 24hrs before arrival.

PARKING - There is space for 2 cars on the gravel area. Don't park in front of other boats/properties and be careful to not drive up on the grass. It can be soft and muddy. If it's muddy, you can use the plastic/wooden walkway on the right to stay dry.

*** Your cleaning fee goes directly to the support of a small, local business that we employ to thoroughly clean and disinfect our home between each stay as well as to a local pool company that maintains the cleanliness and chlorine levels of the hot tub for your enjoyment. The cleaning team spends 4-5 hours preparing the house for your stay between each guest. If any issues are noted upon arrival, the property manager will be happy to assist resolve any/all issues.

Electricity: If the houseboat’s power trips during your stay, please contact us for help to reset the controls prior to attempting to use the breaker panel so we can avoid any mistakes leading to blown fuses.

Cleaning/Photos: We employ a professional, local housekeeping company to clean our home prior to each stay. They take before and after pictures to document the cleanliness and condition of the houseboat. This is for your safely and ours.

Neighbors: This is a peaceful boat slip with friendly neighbors. Please be mindful of our neighbors in regards to parking and outdoor commotion.

Hot Tub: Please leave the top on the hot tub when not in use to maintain its heat. It is available 24/7 year around and is checked and maintained for cleanliness between each stay. Please make sure it is always turned on after use so that the filters can continue to work.

Yard: Our friendly neighbors help maintain our front yard.

Pets: We love pets. :) Please pick up after your pet! Please do not leave your pet in our home while away unless you’re able to crate your pet. Please keep your pet on a leash when in the front yard.

Pests: During your visit, you will likely encounter our resident Aquatic Midges (aka blind mosquitoes.) Fortunately they don't bite and don't transmit diseases and apparently they're good for the local environment. Unfortunately they come in swarms and are attracted to food, light and the bayou. Please take care not to let them in the boat through open doors. Keeping food put away and lights off when not in use can also help encourage them seek other areas to congregate. Despite regular removal, they just keep coming back! We're constantly brainstorming creative ways to deter them, but being native to the bayou, they come with the territory.
We treat for indoor pests, but they flourish outside in this climate and can enter if doors or windows are left open for even a few minutes. Please be aware that this can happen due to the lush environment. Bringing bug spray for warm evenings on the deck is recommended.

Cellphone reception/Wifi: We provide wifi for your stay, but cell phone reception can be spotty due to the remote location.

Kitchen: We stocked the kitchen with all kinds of cookware. Please enjoy.

Laundry: There is no washer and dryer available on our houseboat at this time.

Quiet Hours: Please be respectful of our neighbors, specially due to their close proximity. Please observe quiet hours between 8 PM and 8 AM.

Games/Puzzles/Books: Please enjoy.

Cameras: Per our listing, we have two cameras onboard the houseboat. One is on the upper deck facing the bayou. The other is on the upper deck facing down to the yard and front door. These are for our safety and yours and to allow us the ability to watch for the arrival of packages, housekeeping and maintenance. They are actively recording video and audio, but are not monitored unless footage needs reviewed to troubleshoot an issue

Fishing Poles: The fishing poles at the houseboat are used by many. They are not top quality, but we like to provide them for guests to try out and enjoy. If you’re really looking forward to fishing while on vacation, please consider bringing your own gear for best results.

Loving the Bayou
Its a great boat to stay on. We wish it could have been longwr but we will be back. Great neighbor, brought us a bag of crawfish, cooked...they were so good. Grandsons loved the boat and spa. Seen some gators. Had a storm in the night, a rouge pontoon hit the boat...scary

Best Vacation Ever
Had the best vacation staying on this lovely houseboat. Very relaxing and rejuvenating. The sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking, especially from the hot tub. Getting to hang out in the comfort of your home and get to fish is like a fisherman’s dream. My son and husband had a blast. They were fishing while they got to watch football games and eat lunch. Getting this places booked was a breeze and the owners and manager of this property are so very helpful and so easy to work with and will practically bend over backwards to accommodate you the best way they can. It was a fabulous stay and deserves more then 5 stars.
