About this property

Peaceful Horse Farm Retreat — bring your dogs!

A peaceful country getaway! Anahata Farm Retreat is nestled in the midst of Southern Pines' horse country, one hour south of Raleigh. We are located near the end of a quiet, private dirt road. There is space to roam and animals to greet. This a peaceful, pet-friendly spot, guaranteed to help you relax and reconnect. For more pics, search socials for @anahatafarm. Please do not book this room unless you will be the one staying here. NO SMOKING.

You'll stay in the Hunt Box over the barn. It's a private, quiet studio apartment with a comfy queen bed that is open and bright, with views of the back pasture. The studio has a full kitchen and a private bathroom with shower and tub. The Hunt Box is a private guest suite in our home and does not have a private entrance, however, it is located in the guest wing over the barn on the second floor and accessed from the shared foyer entrance, separated from the main house by a pocket door that always stays closed. In short, you will not be walking through the main house as you come and go. Most guests find this private enough.

Please note: If you have ALLERGIES to cats, dogs, or horses this is NOT a good place for you to stay! Please do not book. We want you to be happy, and safe. Dogs are welcome here — please note there is a $50 pet fee per stay. Please add your pet to your reservation when you book!

Beautiful! Easy to find, lovely to walk around. Room very nicely stocked with everything needed. Very pet-friendly, lovely host...I could not have been happier. My dog and I explored the farm (he now likes horses), and met the resident pups who were very welcoming. We explored the neighboring towns and trails, and had a wonderful 3-night stay.

Melissa is a great host, with an adorable apartment above her barn. Comfortable bed, clean and spacious, and decorated beautifully…my little dog and I really enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back! Kitchen is well supplied also, tho I didn’t have time to cook

We had a wonderful time!

We had such a great stay here! Melissa was so kind and informative and we are so appreciative that she opened her house up to us. The property was just like the pictures and had everything we could possibly need. We spent time outside reading, walking the trails, and playing with the animals. The neighborhood is so peaceful and calm. We definitely recommend coming here for a relaxing get away!

Fit our needs to a tee.

We were in the area for an after Christmas family gathering. The horse farm was perfect. It is quiet and peaceful. We had our dog and there was plenty of space for him to explore. We kept him on a leash for his and the horses safety but he enjoyed meeting them. The apartment is clean and comfortable and the grounds very nicely maintained. Communication was easy and check in straight forward. A very pleasant stay.
