The property was immaculate and the listing is accurate. Be sure to read about the narrow stairways. :) I parked my car in the Liverpool lot about .5 mile away. It worked really well since I left it there until we left Boston. It is close to restaurants and public transportation. It's a great location.
We loved our stay here, the apartment provided such easy access to places to enjoy a stroll as well as to visit the historical sites in the downtown area.
Excellent location with very close, easy access to the Boston subway system. The apartment had comfortable amenities and furnishings. We would definitely book here again. The hosts were very responsive and helpful.
The only negative thing we encountered was aloud banging sound during the night. This happened 2 -3 times every night. We could not tell what it was, it sounded like it was coming from outside of the apartment.
The property was in an accessible area right around the corner from one of the Tube stations, which made getting around very easy. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful with the check-in process and any requests our group had. Our group was in Boston for a national medical conference and the home was a great resting point when we weren't exploring the city or at the conference!
This place was perfect for my parents and aunt and uncle. We had a great time over New Year’s with the T being so close, and we were able to walk to the fireworks on New Year’s Eve at the harbor. The restaurant next-door was incredible. Everything was within walking distance. The owners were great about responding to questions. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely stay there again.
The location was perfect for all we wanted to see. The Metro station was extremely close and then it was just one stop to the Aquarium and one stop the other way to the airport. The owner communicated well and was in touch often to see if we needed anything. He was also helpful with a restaurant recommendation list.
We loved staying at this property. Jon was very responsive when I had questions. The apartment is newly renovated and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location is perfect- only one block from the MBTA train, and one stop away from Quincy Market/Aquarium and the Airport going the other direction. I’d definitely stay here again if we’re in Boston.

Caution re staircases
Good location & property. Only issue was steep, narrow & winding steps on 2 levels which made it difficult to bring luggage up & down.
Climbed some pretty dark stairs to a warm and welcoming apartment. Christmas towels and candles brought the holiday spirit in. T station was a quick walk away.
Great location! So close to public transportation. Property very clean. Note: stairs are very steep for any renter with mobility issues. I could not find a blow dryer (usually available in other properties we have rented). Also could use a few more pillows for those of us that like to use 2 pillows to sleep.
Nice and clean, with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, nice towels. Nice well stocked kitchen with big dining table. Great coffee! Good communication from host. There are narrow spiral stairs from the street entry up to the first floor living area and 1 bedroom, and also to the next floor, where there are 2 bedrooms and the second bathroom. Don’t bring large suitcases. We enjoyed our quick overnight stay near Maverick Station. Super easy airport access!

Not for anyone who has an injury or physical limitation of ANY KIND or with small children under 11
The house of Escher. The hosts are responsive and kind. Let's start with the stairs which are treacherous. When you open the main door to the home, which is the second door the stairs are very narrow and STEEP. The stairs to the third level are the same. When coming down you have to reach to down to your feet to turn the knob and open the door. The entire home is slanted. Our rolling suitcases had to be blocked at the wheels in order not to roll inside the house. The beds are tilted, like the house, and not very comfortable. The kitchen/family room areas are nice. The kitchen well stocked with pots and pans and all you need. Parking - is AWEFUL! Only street that has unlimited hours of parking is a 6-10 (depending on where you find a spot) walk away. Border street FYI. Otherwise it's 2 hour parking only all day long. Soup kitchen a few doors up with unhoused sleeping just outside. It is very close to the T and waterfront and Ferry and Blue Bike rentals so that's all great. For the price I would have preferred to rent two hotel rooms in downtown Boston. I wish the owners well they were great and responsive to the problems they could assist with. Had any of our parents been with us or if I was still in the boot I was in for the past 6 months we would not have been able to stay.
Perfect spot for a pre cruise visit in Boston. Neighborhood was safe and clean. The apartment was spotless. Near the blue line for easy access to downtown. The stairs are very steep and narrow. Pack light or have someone able to carry up the stairs for you. The owners were great to work with. I would definitely stay again if traveling to Boston.
Accurate description found on the listing. Location to subway blue line is super convenient, neighborhood is "real" not touristy, access to unit is secured. The apartment is charming and clean with comfortable space for 5 adults. It's an old building and has its quirks like a narrow and steep staircase and tilted floors that heavy luggage will slide on, but it adds to the charm of the unit in the best way. The hosts are super hosts! Communicated easily and answered all questions we had. Check out was simple, no elaborate checklist. Boston was a great trip and a lovely town, thanks in part to this great little stay.I will book again when I return.
Great communication with good location and host very accommodating!.Stairs as expected- they are very narrow and steep with turns getting up to first floor and second so heads up for anyone with hip, knee, or climbing issues. Clean, quiet and everything we needed. Train station in next block very convenient. Only marked 4 stars as wished we had more pillows in each bedroom and shower upstairs very small.
We had a lovely stay here with our family. The apartment was clean and had plenty of space for our party of 5. The location was really convenient getting to and from places and the neighborhood itself had great restaurants and amenities.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Boston. Convenience to the Maverick was wonderful. Owners were very responsive and helpful.
Boston can be expensive to eat out and stay. This VRBO was exactly what my family needed. We have 5 kids and my cousins lived in North but in a small apartment. This place has an awesome kitchen with plenty of stuff to make our meals. Big kitchen table with plenty of seating for everyone. It rained a bunch on the weekend and having access to laundry was also clutch.
