Another wonderful 5 nights at the bay house, house is so beautiful and views of the bay from everywhere in the house, from the beautiful sunrises and sunsets to fishing on the dock, everything you need is right there, Shannon is a wonderful host and is always there when needed to answer questions, we will be back for a 3rd time!

Very relaxing and enjoyed hearing the calming sounds of the water on the Ware River from the screened in porch in the rocking chairs. Just what was needed to unwind. Area was quiet and people are friendly.

We enjoyed our weekend away! The upstairs AC went out right before our stay, but the owner communicated clearly and offered alternatives. We had a little issue with gnats, but I know that is common and difficult to manage near water. Otherwise, everything was beautiful and the house was amazing. We kept dreaming and wishing this was our forever home.

Virginia Get Away

One of the best vacation rental we have ever experienced. Great information prior to check in, easy checkout.Went on vacation with my husband and had a friend join us for the first few days. Very relaxing atmosphere and we loved watching the bird activity on the water and in the surrounding area. Great little town to explore as well as close to the Historic Triangle. No complaints, a very positive experience.We will definitely be back!!!

Relaxing weekend oasis

We had a wonderful weekend! The view was breathtaking and even though it rained all day Saturday, we enjoy relaxing in the hot tub and the water views from every part of the house! The house was super clean and well stocked, we’re already excited and talking about the next time we will come back! Would recommend this place to everyone!

Amazing getaway

We booked this cottage for a trip to see the sites in Williamsburg. The house turned out to be the highlight of the trip. The view from the bedroom is stunning. Everything is well curated and comfortable. We will be back.

Fantastic stay

We had a wonderful time in the area and throughly enjoyed this house. The location is convenient to everything we wanted to do. But, the location of the property is so beautiful we found it hard to not just hang around, relax, and read a book. This house was spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. We are already planning our return trip.

 The Jarvis Point home might be the most fantastic VRBO home that we have ever visited. It is true waterfront and outstandingly so - it is probably 30feet from the shore. It offers an unbelievably panoramic view of the waterfront, especially from the bedroom on the third floor. We found the home most suited for a couple with youngsters, or a couple with a young adult as was the case for us. It is an outstanding home and a special place with every amenity.

A slice of heaven!

First things first- best vaca rental I have ever booked!! Clean, updated, so so so cozy and was easy to settle in. They really make you feel welcome!We wanted waterfront in Virginia to do all the things with the kids in the area. This location was so perfect and a short drive from Busch Gardens, VA Beach, you name it, so it more than worked out! However if you wanted to come to a place and never leave? This place is the perfect spot for that as well! I probably dosed off in the rocking chair twice at night after the kids went down just listening to the water. My husband fished off the dock pretty much every single night lol. We checked out a few restaurants in town, amazing fare! Olivia’s! Go there, get all the food! We were sad we only made it once. Anyway, highly recommend!! Honestly, I hope we come back again soon!

The getaway that might have been

The property was beautiful , the location was great. However, the two days we were there we had uninvited guests who pulled up in there car beside the cottage to fish from the dock most of the day . We could not use the hot tub with an audience , no swimming with fish hooks flying around. I can only assume they were related to the owners. So without privacy I don't believe we will be back and that is a shame because the cottage is very nice.

Just As We Remembered

We returned for another stay after previously visiting in 2012. I assumed, after 11 years, that things wouldn’t look “quite as fresh” as when the property was new. I was wrong! Everything was just as lovely as we remembered! The furnishings, supplied kitchen items, bedding and overall condition were great. We enjoyed a great meal at Olivia’s in town. Very convenient to surrounding areas. The hot tub was an addition since our prior visit, although we did not give it a try. There is nothing like that wonderful bedroom and bath upstairs! It is a real sanctuary and you can hear the waves lapping the shore from your bed. My husband enjoyed some bird watching as well. We would definitely come back again anytime - especially now that we’re *retired*!!

The house is super clean, the location cannot be beat. We had a wonderful week there. Unfortunately we were there in really warm, humid weather so we could not enjoy the outside ameneties as much as we would have liked but the house more than made up for that. Stunning views all around sunrise, sunsets, the sounds of the lapping waves. We would love to come back sometime when the weather is a little cooler.

Why they chose this property

This area is where I personally grew up. I remember the days on the river at a very young age. I fished, crabbed, learned how to swim, relax, kayak, explore and I am still enjoying all of this today with my family and friends.

What makes this property unique

Pictures cannot even describe this property (many of our guests say this once they arrive). It is one of the most serene places to be. Listening to the waves crash up against the rocks at night, taking a nap in the hammock on a warm summer afternoon, to watching the Osprey on the river, there is not a better place to enjoy nature at it's best. It is all at your fingertips.
