Thanks for viewing our home. We have been renting this house on VRBO since 2020. Our property has been a 5-Star and Premier Host rating since the start. We had a change in managing hosts because of work taken upon in remote rural Alaska where cell phone service and the internet are limited. We wanted to provide the best option available for guests to be able to have direct contact and access to assistance when needed. We are working with VRBO to get our reviews transferred back over for the time being we have uploaded a few in our photos.
This is a great house located nested in the woods in one of Seward's quaint neighborhoods. Nice large lot for extra parking. House is located on Stoney Creek Avenue right when you come into town. The house is extremely cozy and the kitchen supplies are plentiful.

It was the perfect distance from town to enjoy everything within minutes, but relax with a bonfire & your own kitchen & grill if you chose to. Very quiet and private.
Very niceplace, lots of outdoor space. We had our children and grandchildren for dinner outside.Good for dogs, but not too much place to walk them .definitly would go back.thanks!
My husband, family friend and our three teenage at this Vacation Rental By Owner for three nights while in Seward for sightseeing and fishing.
It was a comfortable and easy to get to. Worked great for our fsmily.
Val was a wonderful host. Very responsive and kind. The place is stunning and clean. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The location is close to town and nice and private at the same time.
Ps. We love Johnny. Definitely a highlight!
This home was clean with plenty of supplies that you will need to make your stay great. We just found the bedrooms to be very small and hard to fit our luggage in the rooms. Overall it was a cozy little house with everything you would need for a great stay!
We absolutely loved this house. It was beautiful inside and out. The furniture, beds and decor was very tasteful. The outdoor space for grilling, dining and fire pit were enjoyed by all. The nice large range kitchen for cooking and the beautiful green custom cabinets were very nice.
Everything in the property was great! The location was very quiet, and it was enjoyable to be in a quiet location. The hustle and bustle of Seward in the summer can be a bit much in the evening at times. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Val was extremely helpful and communicative. The only thing that would make the stay even better would be a way to heat up water without using the microwave.
This place is a short drive, maybe 5 to 10 minutes, to downtown Seward. As a generous bathroom, up-to-date/modern. Queen bed and king bed are in good shape, with a fold out mattress if you need a fifth person bed. Kitchen is well stocked and excellent condition. Just minutes away from Kenai Fjord national Park. Very easy to communicate with the host, Val. Would definitely stay here again if we were here again.
We enjoyed our two-night stay here. The location is a short drive to Seward yet tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The inside was even better than the pictures, like the bathroom has a multi-head shower, a heated drying rack, and plush towels. The beds were comfortable, plenty of extra blankets, and the kitchen was well-stocked. Val was a helpful and responsive host. Thanks for having us!
They property was pleasant, clean, and well stocked. It was a pleasant surprise to find dry firewood and the firepit kit under the cover ready to go!
Johnny Cat (garage cat) made the promised appearance and was quite social.
Lots of room to park the boat!
Only thing to be aware of us the 2nd bedroom is very tight - good for one person but too tight for 2 comfortably.
Overall, a wonderful stay!
I just tell you are close to Seward. Place feels like you are all by your self. I walk every day for a couple of mile on a nice gravel road. Easy drive to site see exit glassier. We went to Kenai nice easy drive over and came back. lot to do and see. We got rained out for fishing so we made the best of it. The property owner was great to work with no hassle and help where need. First time at vbo it was nice and easy.
Nice quiet location tucked into the woods in Seward’s Bear Creek neighborhood! Easy short drive to downtown Seward. Little trouble finding the driveway at first because the street sign for the final street before the driveway which is Melanie Ln is misspelled on the actual sign (sign says Melaine instead or Melanie.).
Val’s little house was just great for our short 2-day girl’s trip - well equipped with everything you can think of in the kitchen and plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Great gas grill outside for grilling - we grilled our own fish for fish tacos. Plenty of parking area if needed. And nice fire pit area with chairs for sitting by the fire! Would stay again!
This little place is well located, a bit off the eaten path, but close to everything we want. Property was very nice, but rain prevented us from really utilizing the nice yard and fire pit.
The second bedroom was extremely tight, with very little space between the bed and walls,so . two of us were unhappy with the small bedroom. It would’ve been nice to have a table to sit at during breakfast, but the kitchen was well equipped, and the living room comfortable. It was a good base for our visit, and served our purposes well.
We always love staying in Bear Lake because it's not that far from Seward and we were able to bring our two dogs. The cabin was actually better than the pictures portrayed, and the owner really did think of everything. I was surprised that it was stocked with so much stuff because sometimes you get to your rental place and it's the bare minimum. The property is tucked a little bit back and there is a lot of privacy with a large yard. We got the full Alaska experience, seeing a moose one morning and a bear the next! Just something to keep in mind when you are staying here since it's a bit out of the way. I would stay here again and recommend this place.
